DSL internet and timeframe for better internet connection

With being the only viable isp in my town. I've not been able to get a internet speed of more that 10mbps which is never possible so 5 is more the speed I get. With this being a year of virtual learning and work from home scenarios. I've called numerous times to know when I could get fiber internet connection which would be a attempt to improve the internet bandwidth and speed. However, it's seems as if that isn't in the near future even though fiber has been buried across my property and waiting to be spliced. So it's a bit frustrating when I want to pay for better service, but seems us country folks should just be happy with what we have. The folks I call are cordial and have a understanding of what we go through. It just seems they have to catch hell from their customers due to decisions not made by them. So if you're looking into this isp... Just be aware of what you are in for

Terrible quality internet

We do not have a choice of which internet provider we use without Airstream Communications costing us tons of money. Wish it would run a lot better and faster.
