Do not buy extended warranty coverage through this company. They will hurt you.
I purchased a United Car Care Platinum Warranty for $5,500 to protect my daughter’s 2012 Jeep Wrangler against major mechanical failures. The vehicle is now experiencing engine failure, with carbon buildup clearly a symptom of piston ring breakdown — not the cause.Despite complete maintenance records and ASE‑certified diagnostics, United Car Care ha...

Do Not Buy from this company. when we bought our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan less than a year ago, the dealer talked us into buying a platinum plan from United Car Care. we were hesitant but finally gave in and spent the $3,000.00 to get the plan. I was in Florida and my oil change time came up so I took it to a local shop. They changed the oil and told me...

Claim denied - for part specifically covered in policy
Buyer Beware
My claim was denied for a part specifically covered in my policy and I am having difficulty receiving the specific reason the claim was denied.
I purchased the UnitedCarCare gold coverage policy from the dealer when buying my used Mazda car in January. In July the manual transmission had a mechanical failure while shifting from a lower gear up to a higher gear. The failure rendered the car un-drivable. The repair shop identified the issue as a failed transmission gear.
This part is covered in my UnitedCarCare policy and I submitted a claim. The claim was denied, and I requested a written explanation of the reason the claim was denied and the policy verbiage that applies to the denial.
I am still seeking the official claim denial.
Desired outcome: I would like them to honor the warranty I purchased in paying to repair this warrantied part, or provide a written reason the claim was denied and the policy language that supports the denial.
My Paid for Warranty and UCC denied the claim
My Audi mechanic called United Car Care for me, stating that my engine was consuming oil and the compression in cylinder 3 was using 60% of my oil which is ultimately ruining my engine. The United Car Care adjuster/inspector told Audi that the engine would need to be torn down for him to see what was the cause of the fault. I emailed the person, [protected]@unitedcarcare.com, and he called me back stating the process of getting the claim approved is to tear down the engine. I authorized Audi to do this, because G. Fouts told me that was the only way to get the claim paid. After the engine was torn down, G. Fouts came back out, and almost instantaneously sent an email denying the claim, since it was a consumption claim. I contacted United Car Care and spoke with a person named Kevin. Kevin said "well the claim was denied because consumption is not covered, and the claim was presented to us as consumption" to which I asked "then why did your adjuster insist I tear down the engine then if he already knew it was consumption and that consumption is not covered?" That was on 9-8-21 at 4:04 pm and I was advised I would get a return call. So I have spent over $4000.00 on a warranty, which I have never filed a claim until now, and it is immediately denied after they cause me to have to pay $5200.00 for a tear down of my engine so they can knowingly deny the claim due to uncovered consumption claim. The worst, and this was purchased through Endurance Warranty, with the insurance being Mepco. A COMPLETE scam and waste of 9000.00.
Desired outcome: Pay for my tear down of my engine since it was unnecessary because you knew it was not going to be covered
Your refusal to pay for why we buy coverage
I would spend this time filing a complaint on this site but after careful review of previous complaints I can clearly see this is your company's M.O. you take your consumers money, profit from it and find some way not to pay when their coverage is needed. A class action law suit is what's needed here and intend to bring it to you.
Desired outcome: Be truthful and honest with your customers

Customer service and business practices
Horrible customer service that stems from the bottom all the way up to management. Rude, disrespectful, condescending, and invalidating. I'm not sure if this is a family run business but I definitely would NOT recommend ANYONE to go with this company. Not only is it ran by a bunch of racist imbiscles, buy they absolutely do not value their customers, nor do they honor the policies within their contracts. Absolutely ridiculous!
This is so true. I just got off the phone with them and they were rude and of course don't want to cover the expenses for car services. They are now claiming they are not covered when I was told by their rather 'nice' salesman that struts and shocks were covered. In August of 2020, an adjuster told the car services department that the leaking shocks didn't need replacing yet so my car's ride has gotten really rough and bumpy and are now claiming the struts/shocks won't be covered. How can I get my money back? I paid them 189.00 for 18 months and now they don't want to honor any claims.
warranty services denied
I reluctantly purchased this warranty on a used Cadillac (2 years old). I pushed for 20 mins I didn't want this because I've never heard of anyone coming out on the positive end of a warranty. I was in the electronic business and we sold warranties and I got the calls about problems of non payments. The finance person PUSHED it was needed because of the electronics in the car. That one electronic going out would pay for the cost of the warranty. Finally I gave in (wrong move). I paid $3, 700 for the warranty. 3 years later I have various repairs needed (leaking oil pan; air filter crack; etc). I can't drive the car and it has to be repaired. I don't have time to wait for "claim approvals" and decided I will pay for it and file a claim to reimbursed what would have been paid (wrong move again). I pay over $5, 000 in repairs (mostly labor). I call to file a claim and now told "you can't do that, you have to have the dealer call BEFORE doing repairs or it won't be covered under the warranty". Seriously I took on the full financial burden only to ask to be reimbursed what they would have paid and now hear they won't even talk about reimbursement. Instead I should have let my car sit for DAYS waiting for them to decide what they would pay. After reading the complaints - I'm pretty sure it would have sat for days and I still would be paying the full amount. Totally ripping people off! Today, I'm getting calls from "Car Warranty" companies wanting to sell me extended warranties and I'm saying "serious, I've been ripped off for $3, 700 in a warranty; $5k in repairs that weren't paid by the warranty; and you want me to pay another $3, 500 in a warranty with the same promises?" I was born at night but not last night! I'm not buying into that one again!
company refusing to pay a claim
United Care Care is refusing to pay $8, 0000 to replace the transmission on my car. I got the run around and no return call from the owner or Management. This company is taking premiums from customers and NOT wanting to pay the repair bill once the car breaks down! There are multiple complaints on this company as well as a settlement that was paid to customers in 2017. This company is a complete RIP-OFF. The owner Dave Mathews isn't concerned in resolving complaints as well as Randy Maxwell- Director of Claims. Randy has memorized the page and paragraph to tell customers on why there claim is being denied! He offers NO other solutions to help the customers.
service contract sold by auto service agency, st. peters, mo
I purchased an extended United Car Care (UCC) warranty from the Auto Service Agency. I was told by the person selling me the contract that all transmission parts and anything related to the transmission was covered. He also told me the catalytic converter was covered along with all "visor mechanics." Big surprise, he lied to me. The Transmission Control Module (TCM) was not covered, no part of the catalytic converter was covered and of course, the visor mechanics were not covered.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE--do not do business with this company.
system
It has been 1 week and I have not been able to obtain any information on a claim due to the system being down. I can't understand how they could be down for so long. When calling the support line they let you go through all of the options and when finally you get to speak with someone they tell you their system is down. They have not made any attempt to contact the customer to inform about the situation.
extended warranty usage
I moved to a different state and my issuing dealer released my service history and approved the release of them being my home service dealership due to moving 45 miles away to another state. I have used the UCC warrenty at my new home service dealership before and am not having a hard time having them cover my services. As they state, that my issuing dealership has to release me to have service performed elsewhere, which was done twice already!
Warranty claim
Purchased a warranty and fulfilled the time and miles stipulation. Submitted claim and they are saying it is a pre-existing condition. I thought this was the whole premise behind their business. How can they claim a pre-existing condition when every car they warranty is used and have pre-existing conditions.
If anyone here want to help me start a class action suit against these s######s contact me at [protected]@gmail.com
extended warranty
They are quick to take your money and assure you that they will not let you down but getting them to pay for a claim is another story. Almost nothing is actually covered on your vehicle and when it is they refuse to pay anyway, citing it's your fault. A total scam.
warranty
I purchased an after market auto warranty through Auto Service Agency at the time of the purchase i had a 2005 Lincoln Ls with 95, 290 miles on it i never had an major engine work besides a waterpump put on about 5 years ago. I purchased the warranty through a company called Auto Service Agency they explained to me and convinced me that i didn't want to get caught off guard with unexpected auto repairs and that they would warranty my vehicle for another 75, 000 miles but it would only be the gold warranty which covered every major engine part i was told that the warranty would be activated after the first 30 days are a 1000 miles. The purchase date was 1-02-15. My car broke on me on 3-25-15. I tooked my car to a Ase certified auto mechanic shop i gave him the contract so he could see what was covered and what wasn't he called me and told me that basically my motor was shot because my oil pump wasn't keeping the correct amount of oil pressure and according to the contract everything was covered so he say he was going to give them a call and he would call me back.He called me back and said that they say that they wasn't paying for it because i didn't meet the 1000 mile warranty, i was 20 miles short. So i immediately called Auto Service Agency and told them United Car Care refused to pay for my auto repairs because i didn't reach a 1000 miles and that i was 20 miles short of reaching it.I told them when i bought the warranty from them i was told it was 30 days are a 1000 miles and that United Car Care said i was 20 miles short of reaching the 1000 miles the lady from Auto Service Agency said that she would try to take care of it and she asked me for my phone number and she said she would call me back later that day she called back and said that United Car Care was now saying that the problem with the oil pump was pre-existing and that oil pumps do go bad in a couple of months, I told them my car is 10 years old with 95, 270 miles on it and i have all my original major motor parts except sparkplugs and a waterpump and neither one of them was the cause of the problem they told me they couldn't help me.I did a little research on United Care Care and i found out that they use other companies to sell these auto extended warranties and most of these companies know that United Car Care is a scam and they job is to get your money. I did a little more research and found out that 95 percent of the time when someone file a claim they always deny the claim and say its pre-existng and refuse to pay the claim and when customers cancel there policies they keep most of the refund money and say they had take out for proration fees for the time a customer had the policy even though the customer never actually used it at all.To some it all up Auto Service Agency and United Car Care work in conjunction with each other to scam the customer.
refused to cover air conditioner
went to have our car checked by dealer(ac blowing hot air) and was told it was the back line of the ac /clip that holds line in place was broken and there was a hole in the line UNITED CAR CARE COMPANY refused to honor our extended warranty -which states they cover ac- because they dont cover clips and a uncovered part (clip)caused the cover part (ac) to malfunction. what a rip off!the line cant stay up by itself it has to be fastened to the vehicle some how so how is it possible not to be covered. we bought this policy thru our dealer thinking we were getting a good company and not some fly by night rip off company. not only was the company rude they refuse to send out a rep from there company to investigate my problem. save your money dont go to this company
ripping people off
even after dealer said that a mechanical seal failure caused the oil leakage out of our transfer case united car care warranty claims its our fault for transfer case damage. vehilce has been seviced every 3000 miles all fluids changed and checked as needed yet these people refuse to warranty and leave us high and dry after you pay$2000 plus dollars for this warranty. I am tired of being ripped off by companys and dealers, something needs to be done with this kind of stuff. they know they got you by the balls cause its going to cost more then what it is to fix it to hire a lawyer and take time off off work. these people are nothing but rip off artist in my books and lower then an actual crooks that comes in behind your back and steal from you cause they pull this stuff right to your face and laugh cause they no they can get AWAY WITH IT.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is a total scam. As soon as I tried to submit a claim it was denied. They just want your money! Do not fall for this scam!
The company is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I received a letter offering me their services. This a big joke regarding my car insurance. I am disabled and unable to drive. I have never had a car nor a driver's license... ever. But they still contacted me to increase my benefits. Please disregard any and all mailing you may receive from them. I agree with the others, that a class action suit needs to be started. Beware and still away from this illegal joke of a company.
This company is a rip off. I bought an extended warranty for my used truck. They said there is a 30 day/1000 mile break in period. That's fair. Well, over 3000 miles and almost 2 months later, my truck started making a ticking noise from the engine. Dealership diagnosed that a metal filter related to the cams and phasers failed and broke off into the engine. Now this company is saying its preexisting, because it happened within 90 days. BULL S#IT. The contract says 30 days and 1000 miles. They are scam artists. If you buy a used car, they can say anything is preexisting. I agree with the others, that a class action suit needs to be started. tginok9@yahoo.com
I'm glad I read this before buying an extended warranty from these people. They called on the phone to sell the warranty, my husband wanted to get the coverage but wanted to talk to me first. The salesman was pushy and tried to get him to give our credit card information. He said we could cancel if we changed our minds. But wouldn't give a number he could be contacted at. Sounded fishy to me so I did some research. Thank goodness for this blog. You saved me a big headache. Thanks.
This warranty was one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever made. I bought a 2002 Camaro Z28 in 2014 as a present to myself after deploying to Afghanistan. Along with it I decided to purchase a warranty from United Car Care which was a 3 year/30, 000 mile policy (their gold package). Recently my check engine light came on so I contacted them. They told me to bring the car into a shop to have it checked out. The mechanics said I needed a new ABS module and catalytic converter. Lo and behold United Car Care won't cover the cost! They say that those parts aren't on the contract and would do absolutely NOTHING to even help make the situation better. They just told me they will only abide by the contract and that they won't help at all. Kind of funny when I received a Purple Heart while protecting your country and you can't even help me fix my car. Goes to show how they feel about veterans, which they knew I was. Not to mention no one from United Car Care EVER contacted me once to make sure I understood the contract and it's coverage. Isn't one of the concepts of owning a business to make sure your customer knows the product? And if you purchase something entitled "Gold Package" wouldn't you assume that it would have a broad coverage? They are trying to throw the blame on the dealership to cover their own a**. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE.
Do not buy from United Care Car or Omnisure this company they are a rip off! I paid $3, 000 for an extended warranty they lie to you. Do not trust them save your money they will promise you & tell you everything will be covered but when you need them they will make up all kinds of excuses not to cover for your repairs. They will lie to you to get your money Do not trust them Do not buy anything from them they are a bunch a crooks! BUYER BEWARE! Keep away from them.
I hate this company they rip you off after paying so much every damn month BEWARE!
Never buy a warranty contract through this company. They will not cover your claims and will not return your phones calls. We are currently fighting a denied claim with them. All they want is your money, they will not help you!
They called and talked to my boss. She bought it without us looking it up first. She didn't realize she still had a warranty on her van. They told her she didn't. Now we just called them to cancel the contract, within 4 hours of her buying it. They transferred her to 3 different people. They hung up on her and she called them back. Finally got ahold of someone and he wanted to know who she had and what they covered etcc... None of their business. She wants to cancel. Be done with it. She finally handed me the phone to talk to him. He wouldn't talk to me so I gave the phone back to her and then she told him she was going to give me the phone. I said she wants to cancel, doesn't matter why and did he refund the downpayment. He continued to argue that he had cancelled and I continued to ask if he had refunded the money. Kept saying he told her that he had cancelled the contract. Finally said no, that it taked 3-5 days and got really rude. I said thank you and hung up. Never EVER buy a contract with them people!
Crooks, they need to be shut down and thrown in jail for scamming. Paid for platinum protection and they won't even fix the ujoint that is supposed to be covered under their most basic coverage. The brochure saus they cover it, when you call they don't cover anything!
