When I started my taxes I opted for the 'Turbo Max Benefits Package 2025' for $79. Once I finished my taxes, on March16th I went to submit my tax return. When I was prompted to pay for my TT services the payment page came up, no total, but a page for credit card information showing how much money I saved, again no total. I put in my card information and pressed 'submit'. Only after my invoice came up did I notice that TT had added the 'Online Expert Assist Premium' package for $199 to my account without my knowledge. I did not consent to this package, nor did I use it. I completed my taxes on my own, always have. This is not my first time using TT for my tax return. I have reached out to TT, twice, and they have refused to refund my money. This is fraud and unless my money is refunded, I will be escalating this situation to the BBB.
Claimed loss: $221.34
Desired outcome: Refund my $199 plus tax.

TurboTax charged for my filing TWICE, once with the first refund I got from the State, and the second time they took it out of my Federal return. so pretty much I have paid close to $800 dollars to file my taxes. I have called them for the past FOUR days and nothing. the supposed "expert" told me it was correct and they took $35 dollars out, she would NOT listen to me and what my complaint was about, she just told me that things looked good after 90 minutes of explaining that they have WITHDRAWN from both my State AND Federal returns. I have sent them a refund request form but haven't heard back from them. they are sitting on close to $400 dollars of mine that they are refusing to even look at and allow me to explain without having a third party explain to them! My next step is complaining to the BBB. this is the first time I am NOT satisfied with this service!
