Republic Services Trash service

Republic Services had been our trash provider for years. The past few years their customer service has went down hill. I'm not sure if the ownership changed or what has happened. I have had to call several times due to missed pickups to be told it would be rescheduled then not come until the following week or that the driver did not pick up due to us having more than allowed when we only had the bin that was provided. They keep adding late fees when the bill was paid on time. I called and spoke with Marcus and Carol both of which advised that they did not see why a late fee had been added to begin with an was advised that late fee would be removed but hasn't. We had finally had enough and cancelled our service in June 2020. They are still billing me for late fees and now they have added another charge for picking up their own trash bin. When I cancelled the service I was told that their trash bin would be picked up 7/7 however it sat at the end of our driveway for weeks before they finally picked it up. It was eye sore not to mention a liability hazard that could have caused an accident. I had to keep calling and calling. I spoke with Marcs to cancel our service prior to the last renewal period ending July 2020 which I had already paid for giving them plenty of notice. I keep receiving harassing calls and bills threating to be turned over to collections. They also advised that they would add a early termination fee? We had been with this provider for years and had never signed any sort of a contract. This provider is a joke they have become undependable, over priced and flat out lie about what their customer service reps will do. If they had of taken care of their clients in the 1st place I would never have had to switch providers. I would not recommend Republic Service to anyone. They need to be avoided at all cost. I refuse to pay for fraudulent charges that they keep adding to our account. I have paid all that is owed to this provider. If you want to have terrible service this is the company for you. I've switched providers and will never go back to this provider. I would have given a 0 star rating however you have to give at least one star to file the complaint.

Used Republic for several years with no complaints This Aug they started to miss pick-ups and it got worst in the next months. some time no pickup for 2 to 3 weeks. Always called, was always told they would be out the next day. Never happened! Decide I had enough and changed to another service in Nov. It took them several week to pick-up there empty containers. Now in Jan. I receive a bill for 62.67. They say its the charge for picking up the containers. This is a total rip off. Never had a trash service do such a thing. You better believe I will never-never used them or advise anyone to use them.

Republic Services Trash bin cause sanitary health issue

The trash bin located in the driveway of my garage door, constant overflow, attracts insects ( flies, ants, cockroaches, rats, worn). plus it is close to my property, all those insects came to my house. and it smells
to affect human health, night time dumping garbage made a lot of noise.
I had lung cancer since 2018 can't standard to live in this bad condition
those trash bin I request to remove to other place not attach to the building and located in the driveway. I check around all of the Condo around my property, none of the condo put the trash bin in the driveway all hide in the back nobody can see...

Republic Services Billing

This is more the fault of the busy body tyrannical city council of Apache Junction, AZ. They forced everyone here into a contract with Republic Services. I don't need their service. I shouldn't be forced into a contract with anyone. This has to be illegal.

Has anyone taken legal action against this yet? These services for every single person in AJ don't have a contract with many of them. No way this holds up in court!

Republic Services Business doesn't fulfill their duties

Never use this company. We moved into a new home and their locked in price for weekly service was the same as the biweekly from another local competitor. Deciding to be cost efficient, we went with them and regret every second of it. Set up service late june with barrels scheduled to be delivered july 2 ahead of our july 6 start date. The barrels didn't arrive until two weeks after their date. I called multiple times being told it was being escalated and I would get a call with an explanation - never happened. $25 was paid at signup and I had a balance due on the 15th, which I was concerned with paying since I hadn't received any barrels yet. The rep gave me a credit of $10 so I wouldn't be hit with a fee and guaranteed that when the barrel delivery fee hit my account that would also be waived.
Trash pickup was missed on the 8th and then again on wednesday the 15th. When I called to schedule a missed pickup the best they could do was monday the 20th. I was given a refund for the month of july $26.50. Since I had my barrels by then and pickup would be wednesday the 22nd I didn't think it worth it to schedule the miss, since I wouldn't have enough trash piled up in two days time. But, of course, they missed the pickup again on the 22nd. I scheduled a missed pickup for the morning of the 23rd and they missed it again. I called first thing on the 24th to cancel. I was guaranteed a refund of the $25 dollars I had been charged plus the statement credit which mysteriously was now only $21.75 instead of the $35 that it should be because they had been charging my account at random points over the past few weeks. On the 25th, I showed that my account was closed online with a credit of $21.75 still. Now, on the 26th I have a bill for august through the end of october with fees and barrel delivery charge and it shows I have an account balance due to the company that not once fulfilled their part of the service contract.
They are a scam and I am happily taking my business elsewhere and warning anyone else that considers republic services that they aren't worth a dime. I only gave one star because I couldn't leave the field blank. They aren't worth any stars.

Republic Services Not picking up my trash

The Garbage pickup neglected to pick our trash up on Thursday June, 18 2020. We pay our bill each month and not behind. They picked up the neighbors trash and walked right past ours. It is summertime and trash tends to smell really bad.
I sent a message on Thursday evening about the trash not being picked up. I called again on Friday morning that they would get it either Friday or Monday. Well it wasn't picked up on Friday. So Monday morning I called again. Said it would be picked up that day. Almost 4 pm I called again. She said it would be picked up by the end of the day. The end of the day came. No Garbage truck and we still have our trash.
So what is the problem? The trash men lying to the customer service ladies or the customer service ladies lying to us?

Republic Services Refund of automatic payment after canceling service

On 3/19/20 I talked to Britney re: canceling service and auto pay which was due later in March. She said she canceled service.
On 3/24/20 A representative said she reversed bank charges and it would take 24 hours to complete the credit. She said she would confirm confirmation of our conversation and action to be taken.
On 3/30/20 Briana confirmed a credit balance of $232.01 and said it would take a couple weeks.
On 4/15/20 Amy would "get a request to accounting" to issue a check for the credit balance and may take as long as 2 weeks.
Today, May 8, 2020 I have received nothing!
What do I have to do? Canvas the neighbor hood for Republic Customers? Resort to filing a complaint with BBB? Post my woes on Next Door? Is anybody home at Republic Services. My account # is [protected].

Republic Services What isn't wrong is the better question

Okay so let me first start off by saying I called set up service I ordered a 95-gallon trash can it was supposed to be dropped off at my house on Thursday Friday came still no can now mind you Friday was my trash day so Friday when I got home from work I called again the customer service complained a little to the lady which I know it's not her fault but you guys as service is absolutely horrible so not only did I miss getting my trash out I had to wait until Tuesday to get a new can and it was supposed to be a 95 gallon can so I come home from work today and low and behold you guys did drop the can off but it's the wrong damn can it's a 65-gallon can I have a big family I am a single dad of 4 Kids I need a 95 gallon can this was told to you guys twice once when I called to set the service up and then again when I called to complain about the cannot be in here that Thursday you guys need to fix whatever you got going on fire your people get better people I don't know

Republic Services garbage pick up.

Trucks drive by picking up garbage. Sometimes, they miss a house. Calling Republic customer service does have the affect that the situation is logged, passed to dispatch, but not resolved. My house, several times. A driver of a large garbage truck has a defined route, and will not deviate to pick up one missed garbage address. Since this is a normal problem, Republic should have smaller trucks at the ready to resolve the dispute without causing a driver to deviate.

Republic Services Customer Service

Hi There,
I was just on the phone with a customer service rep in Fremont CA. I was trying to understand why I had a past due and wasn't shown when I paid my last bill. She kept getting an attitude with me. She also hung up on me which was really rude and unprofessional. Someone should really talk to the phone operators about customer service. I am in customer service and even if a customer made me upset I would still say "thank you" and "bye" at the very least.

Republic Services no trash pickup

I live in a townhouse HOA of about 26 homes in Littleton, CO. The HOA is Terrace at Columbine.
Over the Christmas and New Years holidays, trash was never picked even though messages were received about a delayed schedule. Our trash pickup is on Fridays.
Today, we were told that our trash won't be picked up because of snow.
We received about 6-8 inches of snow, but that doesn't explain why a heavy large truck can't come through and pickup trash. I had no problems at all driving in a mid-sized SUV!
I have asked our board about finding another service as your service is just terrible!

Republic Services safety of employee

I've noticed a driver who constantly falls asleep with his helper on the back of his truck driving. A few of my neighbors have also noticed that this driver falls asleep at the wheel while the helper is left doing work alone. I think that is dangerous for someone to do especially with the life of other ppl around and also the person on the back of the truck. The truck number is 2076 in Desoto Tx (Hutchins Division)

I have been paying 30.00 every month. For years. I pay my bill. Yet y'all are always trying to price guage me. I refuse to pay more than my 30.00 payment. Y'all want me to pay 43.30 na f tht. I refuse to play victim to price guaging. Ya will lose me as a customer I'll burn my trash instead of paying more than 30. My loyalty as a customer y'all truely don't deserve its always a price guaging game with yons!

Republic Services trash pickup

I am currently contracting with republic trash services for trash pickup on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Recycling is Wednesday. Since mid-May, my trash has only been picked up on Friday four times. Repeated calls have resulted in no action or follow up of any kind. I've asked repeatedly to have a supervisor call me and am told my request is being expedited. I'm told I'll get a call within 24 hours. Not once have I received a call back. I called yesterday to ask that I be changed to the senior plan with one trash pickup per week and just pay less. I was told they couldn't offer it to me at this time. I asked why and was not given a reason

It's not just my trash but everyone on Seminole court. Many of my neighbors on bordering streets have the same complaints

Republic Services horrible trash pick up service!

They picked up sometimes and sometimes they did not. This is the most horrible trash company out there. Surly and late drivers, at least on my route, who would skip random houses in the neighborhood. That's why most of the people in our subdivision who had them have switched. They were even late picking up their own bins!

I switched and I've not had a missed pickup yet. Wish I had done it earlier!
