Optimum Horrible

I've been paying 2gb for a year with many restarts and numerous calls to optimum due to lack of connection. I then had a technician come to my home to then tell me that the problem is that Optimum installed the wrong modem/router which is the root of my issue. Now 4 days later I have NO INTERNET. My kids are freaking out. No way to do Homework, School Work...

Optimum Greedy greedy greedy

They charge for just about anything that comes across their imagination. Changing your phone plan? Bam! $30 "service fee" for making the change. Have that mobile plan set up to receive a promo? Call as far in advance as you want of your phone bill's due date, and they'll slam you with "may take 1-2 billing cycles to be applied" and charge FULL PRICE the first couple months before that promotional is applied. This is complete BULL and an obvious scam to get you to unload your wallet for them. Avoid this trash company like the bubonic plauge.

Optimum Pathetic billing and disconnect practices

over my 7-year service experience for Internet only service, Optimum has raised my rate countless times from $64/mo to $111/mo. I got service from another provider, fantastic service and 5-year guarantee rate, much less than Optimum.
Disconnecting service with Optimum is a nightmare. Yes it really consisted of 7 phone calls totaling 12+ hours of my time, mainly due to the rep arguing with me that they want to retain my service. Evidently 32 times of saying no thanks is not enough. I will further be filing a complaint with the FCC as Optimum is trying to bill me 3 weeks beyond my disconnect date. Yeah, I know that your policy to bill to the next period, but it's an unfair and pathetic policy.

Recommendation: Stay away from Optimum

Optimum The very worst company in America... Not even close... Do not use!

This company is a complete scam. After 7 years of complete torture I am leaving. They take away services & raise your rates. It is nothing more than a marketing scheme. They abuse their clients & do not care. Their customer service is farmed out all over the world to 3rd world countries. I spent 2 hrs being passed around to 6 different people today having to re tell my story each time. Bottom line is I was trying to get services back that were cut & my bill went up. To reinstall what I have had for years... My bill was going up $70 a month. So I am saying f u to optimum. I will find anyone else. Optimum will not be in business in 5-10 yrs. I am cutting the chord to these incompetent thieves & crooks! Please save yourself the grief & do not use them. I can only imagine what their phone service is like! Adios!

I was on hold or talking to agents for almost 3 HOURS this morning and they still have not been able to put my account on seasonal hold. I’m supposed to be getting a call back now to accomplish it but this is ridiculous. It should be a straightforward process and every tech should be able to do it! It takes a long time every year, but this has been the longest. If I had an option for another company, I certainly would take it.

Optimum The worst internet/cable company

I have been a customer of Optimum since they were Cablevision! I wish I could say they’ve improved. They have NOT! I’m paying $270 a month for a basic Cable package plus basic Internet service. It’s freaking RIDICULOUS. I hardly get any channels. Then when I have a problem and try to reach a human I’m on hold for an hour. Getting in touch with an actual person is nearly impossible!

If you can AVOID OPTIMUM like the PLAGUE.

Recommendation: Avoid OPTIMUM no matter how many iPhones they offer .

Optimum 21 years a customer...don't expect a "thank you"

We turned in our cable box years ago and cancelled Cable TV, only using Internet. Tech site visit stated we still showed a box on the account. I called, was issued control number, they would get back to me and discuss some reasonable credit to us. Still chasing, and todays call said 'Company Policy' no credit.

Optimum Upset customer

I cancelled my phone service about 5 years ago and yet all these years I have been charged 15.00 a month for this service. I was told my internet would be79.00 a month for internet only and never had a reason to check my bill as I trusted what the service provider told me. I want a refund for all those payments for the phone i cancelled YEARS ago.. I was told by a supervisor it is my fault. This is unacceptable as it is the company's fault and not the customer to be blamed. Please help me.

Optimum horrible support

i have had trouble with my internet in Midland since i got here. 3 times in 1 months period! this 3rd time, i have been without internet for a week and 2 days as im typing this. they told me on Saturday, as a technician came out to trouble shoot it, that they will have to send someone else out here to fix it. and since they are coming from out of town, they wont get there until Friday, which is today. i called them yesterday, actually they called me. To verify if I was still without service. and i told them of course. you guys have some workers coming tomorrow to fix it. the guy told me there was nothing in the schedule or notes of that. so now thery are sending another technician tomorrow to check the problem...100/10 would not recommend!

Recommendation: dont. never.

Optimum Screwed by Optimum

I was paying for 1gig until today July 17, 2023 from the beginning of the year. After complains about freezing or not connectivity, I found out I was receiving only 100mbps from this company. It is a shame that we have a cheating company when we really needed internet so much. Now I am looking for a better service and an honest company. Or maybe I have to stick with the cheating company? Recommendation: Keep checking your speed and make sure they do not screw you around.

They said my promotions would last thru August 2026 but they took two promtions away this month causing my Bill to increase $32. Called but got nowhere of course. They are the pits when it comes to customer service. Their agent LIE!

I tried to cancel my service and after a 40 minute call, I was told that my service was cancelled. I just received an email notifying me that I was charged a second time for the month I already paid for. I tried to call 3 times to dispute the charge and every time I thought I was being transferred, an automated message said "thanks for calling"

Last week I filed a complaint against Optimum. After a technician came out to my home I was told I would be credited for loss channels.
Today I called and they refused and when I told them I would be filing a new complaint they disconnected both my tv and internet services.
This is intentionally harassment and retaliation

bait and switch method of marketing using $15 cell phone add on to your internet services ,that is useless ( 1 GB data and intermittant service, dropped critical calls, and NO customer service available unless you sit on the line for long periods of time.

If you want a phone and service that works you must pay more. FCC notified.

On Dec. 21st someone at Optimum entered 2 charges on my account. I did not authorize this charge at all. I have chatted with 2 optimum people and they could not remedy the situation, then referred me to another department, which was closed. I never received equipment nor activated my cell phone. They did send sim card thru ups and I returned it. Called them numerous times and over the phone they say account cancelled, but would not provide written confirmation. They continue to harass me, by email, phone calls saying I owe charges. I called last week about canceling on my phone, we no longer use it. They said it would be done, it's still is hooked up. The customer service number bring halfway across the world and you can't understand anyone, I am not the person who says this. I will be dropping Optimum completely if something isn't done. Calling Optimum is a headache, and you cannot email them either

I would like for myself and my family to be removed from your list of homes to come by and try to sell your service to. We used your services and were very unhappy with them. We switched to a new provider over a year ago, and your personnel are still coming by trying to sell your services. This has happened on multiple occasions. Please remove our household from your list.

Optimum Use of card for over the counter purchases and creating an acct.

I have tried creating an acct. with no success. Looking at my card and entering my ID# T9910520001 it gets rejected. I do not find any other acct. info on my card. When trying to use my card for over the counter purchases it won’t work. Your site info is hard to understand. Please advise.

Optimum TV

On or about the 10th of January, I turned out TV on to watch NBC. I get this message telling me that if I want to watch NBC now, I can go online to another company. For seven days, I can get free connection. After that I get 30% of this FEBU or something like that.
I am already paying more than I should for the few channels that we watch. I don't speak Spanish, or buy from QBC channels, but thanks to some person or persons. I am told that this is my package deal. Where we live there is only two choices for TV or internet. I either have to pay your high price or go with ATT.

To say, you have a monopoly, is an understatement. We started with Suddenlink several years ago. When Optimum took over, we were told the service would be better. So far it has not happened. The only thing that has increased is the price.
There is one of your companies, control boxes, leaning up again my fence and has been for over three years. Whenever one of tech, come around, I show them this box. For over three years, I hear the same statement. That not my
