Norton completely wrecked my computer!

I bought this as a download but could not install it. Norton help desk (including their 360 expert) spent a total of about 5 hours on 3 occasions trying to fix it. This was done with them controlling my computer. The last person completely wrecked my computer by deleting most of the registry and not being able to carry out a system restore (he also deleted all restore points) or a registry reload (the backup was corrupted). Norton management are not interested in my problem. On the good side though I now know how to get everlasting subscriptions to Norton AV without paying for them. Being a computer & lots of time and trouble down, I'm not sure this is a fair swap but if you want to share my knowledge...

I now absolutely hate Norton 360. This is my third time trying to get help from them. My subscription ran out about 3 weeks ago so I renewed and upgraded. The last 4 days I have been on line with analysts for over 8 hours. They did get rid of 1 trojan but it cost me $100. I was on line over 5 hours today. I was in tears. I had 4 analysts trying to help me. Nobody could fix the problem. My Norton icon disappeared and nothing was working . I had absolutely no protection. I am disgusted. Wish I could get my money back. They told me uninstall then reinstall. They didn't recognize my e-mail address. they didn't recognize my product key, etc., etc., etc. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU WILL FOREVER BE SORRY. They would not answer my questions. They would not tell me who to make a complaint to. They had complete control over my computer for hours and did all sorts of things to it. Even after I disconnected from the last analyst, a few hours later, somebody was still controlling my computer. I could see the arrow key moving all over the screen and changing things. This is just wrong! After originally downloading Norton360, within a week I had a trojan virus. Why? Because Norton 360 does not protect your computer. They would not fix it for me until I agreed to pay $100. NEVER AGAIN SYMANTEC. I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY.

Norton rebate scam!

For the second year in a row I bought Norton Internet Security and sent in the two rebates, both for $30. I received one rebate with no problem but as the year before received a post card stating that I had not sent all the information and was late in submitting. Knowing I meticulously followed detail in submitting the rebate, I wrote and asked them to send a copy of my envelope with mailing date and its contents. Of course I never heard from them again and feel that two times is a sure indication that (1) we are being scammed and (2) not to use them again. Maybe it is time to call the State Service Commission.

I have never used Norton on this PC. Now I essentially have a Norton virus telling me my subscription has ended and demanding payment! It pops up every several minutes and I have to close my web browser and start over! I will report this to the authorities. Imagine a anti-virus company that spreads a virus!

My bank account has been charged $41.99 for the annual renewal of Norton Antivirus however the renewal has not been downloaded or installed.

Sorry about the confusion. Renewal is extension of your exisiting subscription for one more year. You do not have to download or install anything. Could you check if your Norton is active on your computer? If you need any help, you can always contact us at: www.norton.com/cs

I wish to stop using Norton with intermediate effect, because i am not Happy as they tried to get a payment from my Account without my Consent.Please do not try and get anymore payments from my Account as i want nothing more to do with Norton and nothing will change my mind.Thank You.

What are you suddenly send me Monthly Report ? I never reqeust any Monthly Report!

Pleaset top sending unwanted Monthly Report, it is a hated virus itself. If you do not stop this virus

$174.99 taken from my account by PAYPAL because Norton had it on automatic deduction without my approval. I do not know what the product was. Same problem same time last year

Norton norton / rebate

I received a post card from Symantec resubmissions dept. There reply to me having sent my rebate for the Norton - Antivirus with it I sent all needed paper work. The UPC the paper for the rebate witch was in the box and the dated sale receipt. With the NRTN Antivirus at the top of the receipt for $39.99. On the reply it stated that my request could not be honored because the product was not found on the receipt? Now I am to re send the card + any validating information. I no longer have the receipts da. All I could send is a copy.

No Stars, on 3/20/26 I cancelled my subscription with Norton. I received a cancelation notice. So the same day 3/20/2026 Norton took $103.44 out of my bank account. I am a senior on fixed income. I called them and basically got an "Oh well"

Impossible to talk to a person. One wrong click and you must start over. Wasted so much time. Finally reached someone and they would not acess my account. Even though they had the information I needed. One more problem and they will be cancelled. Terrible customer srvice

I had a simple problem but was HUNG UP ON by two agents on the help line. The third agent told me that she could get me technical support (printer won’t print unless I turn off Norton VPN), but it would cost me $189. Am shocked and disgusted.

In December I was charged $476 on Friday. On Saturday I was charged $63.95 2 times. Why was I charged so much? Over $600 for what. I want to cancel Norton & get rid of it completely!

I have spent well over an hour trying to get a refund. Your useless AI, useless chat, useless links and web pages and lack of contact details all lead in a non productive circle. I will simply dispute the payment and you can sort it out with the bank. I am done.

I clicked on a email to read a letter from Norton 365 to realise that l might have purchased a subscription, l would like to have this removed as I will not require this subscription.

Please refund any money taken from my account.

I am trying to take advantage of your driver program. However it seem to want to charge me now even though it is advertised as free trial for sixty days. It also forces me to pay pal which I do not use.

I would love to try your program but your website is difficult to use.

On 2nd of this month Norton took £34.99 out of my account with no request from me. This was for Anti virus cover but i am still without any cover even though they have had the money for it.
