McHelper I wanted Microsoft put in my computer but I didn’t get that

I wanted Microsoft to be imputed on my computer. I looked up Microsoft and McHelper came up. The person I spoke to said it would cost me about $200 I was on my computer and he took over my computer but I do not remember him asking or me giving him permission. He then told me I have a lot of viruses in my computer but he needed a card number I told him I didn’t have a card but I had a check so it was suggested that I write the check and send him a copy via email which I did because I was really scared when after an hour or more he was still in my computer. I didn’t know what to do or who to ask. I closed my checking account that I opened in 1980 because of this but it is still scary I don’t know what they did to my computer I know they didn’t put Microsoft

Desired outcome: That they admit they were wrong they had nothing to do with Microsoft and I have no idea what they did to my computer so because of this I had to close my account that I had since 1980

McHelper They won't help you to solve computer problems

I was contacted by the agent from McHelper. They told me that my computer was hacked and they offered to provide services, clearance. I agreed and paid them for the services. But after that the agent told me to switch off my computer and wait for couple of hours. So they fooled and I can’t reach them now, because they gave me fake email address and no phone number. They are scammers and liars, so be careful and don’t pay them. Share this info.

I had an outlook problem at a NY Hotel on April 14th 2015. Googled for help and called the so called Microsoft help desk. It was MC Helper. I assumed they were connected to Microsoft. They cleaned up my computer only after I paid them &199.99. It worked fine.
A few days later on April 18 they called to tell me they had received a notice from software they had implanted on my computer that I was still under attack. I gave them access and they said they scanned the computer and cleaned up the mess. However, since my Microsoft security certificate was not operating they would give me a refund of $150. I said GREAT, but they need my bank account info to give me the credit t. I said no way. Give me the credit on my credit card. Something stunk and I hung up. They called back and said they would credit my account only if I confirmed the info online. I said just credit the credit account. They kept fishing for more information to give me the $150 credit. Something is just not right.

McHelper is a scam. I called their toll free number for help while trying to regain access to my hotmail account. they took control of my PC remotely and did bunch of maneuvering. as far as the hotmail went, they simply opened a new account, using a new user name which was just my old user name with a few alphabets added at the end. It was not the regain access service i had agreed to pay for! i grew very suspicious about what they did on my PC & took it to Best Buy to be examined. Best Buy associates found more than fifty viruses on my hard drive. & i had just a brand new hard drive installed. it was clean. the viruses did not come from my own internet usage. I had to have my hard drive scrubbed. This has been my experience with McHelper. Be aware...
