I have been shopping at Hy-Vee in Milan IL for years. I've been willing to pay the extra price for the convenience, For the first time I forgot my wallet and asked if they would take a check. They said yes but when I tried to pay I was asked for a drivers license which obviously I didnt have because I forgot my wallet. I offered to show my bank acct or they could have easily verified who I was by my hy-vee fuel savers card. She would not. I asked that my cart of groceries be saved as well. When I got back 20 minutes later, they had already taken my cart to the back and I waited another 10 minutes for them to bring my cart back. It just seems incredibly callous after shopping there for this many years that it means nothing. I will more than likely shop elsewhere whenever possible going forward. Your manager lacks considerable people skills and I am truly amazed she is in that position. 0 apology for my wait for my groceries that she had taken back or for cancelling my receipt.

Trust you WON'T be missed. You can only blame YOURSELF for forgetting your wallet. If you are old enough to drive, act your age. If you had more than two brain cells, you would know that the reason they took your cart to the back is to avoid someone accidentally putting your stuff back. This does NOT mean that you mean NOTHING to them. The manager does NOT lack people skills; it seems like you do. None of this would have happened if you hadn't forgotten your wallet. In fact, you would still be shopping there if you were not so forgetful. So why not do the adult and mature thing and admit that none of this would have happened if you had your wallet with you? You are both immature and not that smart.

If anyone should apologise it should be YOU for forgetting your wallet and wasting their time and the time of the people around you.
