Breast augmentation
Although this happened in 2002 I would still like a resolution. My breast augment was also botched by this man. After my surgery one implant slipped out of the pocket and was trying to push through the skin causing necrosis or death to the skin in that area. It started out as a red spot, and they gave me cream. After a bit the skin started to turn black and I went back and it was indeed necrosis. He had to remove the implant, and I had to 6 months after my $5200 surgery with one in and one out, so I had to stuff my shirt. While it was being removed, he had to remove the necrosis leaving a huge scar on my new breast that now caves in when you move because there is not enough skin there. I was not told that was going to happen and he told my mom who told me when I woke up.
During surgery a nurse dropped a pill on the floor and laughed and said five second rule and was planning on giving it to me anyway.
I waited 40 years to do this and it turned out terrible and no one at the office cared.
Claimed loss: The cost of the procedure which was a stretch for me which was $5200
Desired outcome: my money back so I can fix this it will always bother me but I thought no one cared

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! He 100% messed up my breast augmentation surgery. After several calls/visits, he made up a plan to fix them (blaming the issue on built up scar tissue), which would of consisted of MANY more office visits over $100 a pop and ultimately another surgery by him - costing thousands more. After getting a second opinion and a mammogram to confirm, it was determined that he placed 1 implant UNDER the muscle and 1 OVER the muscle. His surgical notes state that BOTH were placed under the muscle as they should of been. After discovering this, I attempted to reach out in order to get reimbursed. As you can imagine, his office ignored the letter. My new doctor, as well as attorney reached out for records; and those requests were ignored. The attorney sent multiple letters for settlement/reimbursement, and his office ignored all of them. The attorney advised that it would cost too much in court costs, and therefore it wasn't worth taking it any further as my statute of limitations approached. Unfortunately, doctors like him know how to avoid making things right with their patients and this type of unethical practice doesn't catch up to them. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else
Desired outcome: Reimbursement

bbl
I got a bbl in May of 2019. Dr Roche never asked my for a picture of how i wanted to look, but he suggest to shave my hip down some. Ok cool, fast forward, now I'm shaped just like spongebob. My wrist line is even with my hips. He put 550 cc's in my butt, which is such a small amount that you can't tell a difference. I paid an additional $6000. for a butt that looks the same as before. To this day, my husband doesn't know i paid extra for more butt and when I asked him, if my butt look bigger to him, he said no, I'm too embarrassed to tell him. When I called and explained, nobody cared. (They would charge me $7500 instead of $10500) I guess they say, we got your money and if you're not satisfied, that's your problem.
I wish I would've went to Florida like I started to. I will be going to Florida in February 2020, to get my hips back and my waist snatched.
This is a very expensive lesson to learn, a lesson that i really can't afford, but i have to get it fix because I hate looking in the mirror
I wish I could back My BBL Complaint
I had an appointment with Dr Roche on Tuesday, and after speaking with him, I immediately regret giving him a bad review. I thought, my butt would've been much bigger after surgery. He explained to me that by taking too much fat out or and putting too much fat in, at a time, would be putting his patients life's at risk. I appreciate his quick response to my issues. His staff is always professional and friendly. Florida's prices are lower, but I'd rather pay more to a Doctor that puts his patients safety first. I tried my best to delete my complaint but I couldn't figure it out.
To everyone that have an issue or concern, please talk it out with the Doctor first, before you put words out there that you can't take back
PEACE!

plastic surgery
Dr. Roche botched me! Please stay as far away as possible! This is the biggest mistake i've made in life, my body is deformed and I will need an additional surgery to fix what dr. Roche did to me. Dr. Roche promise me he could achieve the results that I wanted, he talked to me for an hour and made me feel like I could trust him. On the day of the surgery he had his assistant (with no formal education) mark up my body, how does she know where to mark your body at? Now I have to pay another surgeon to fix what he did to me. Please save your time and money, and run!

Great Doctor, Great Office, Great Result
I had gone to multipal consultation with different doctors in the area. When thinking about cosmetic surgery, I was OVERWHELMED! So many questions and so many concerns. Some of the consults I had gone to had months of a wait list before being able to be seen. Other offices had me sit in a consultation with about 50 other people. (which was very weird) then I went to see Dr. Roche. His office was very unique. All the walls are painted pink! The office gals are very upbeat and smiley :D I was brought back to a consultation room where I was able to talk with the nurse 1 on 1. Then I met with Dr. Roche 1 on 1 who went over the procedure and my case specifically. I instantly knew this was the doctor that I was going to have my procedure with. He is very calm, collected and knowledgeable.
I had my procedure done 6 months ago. I was still very nervous leading up to my surgery day but surgery went great. The nurse helped calm my nerves and again told me exactly how things were going to go and how I would feel when I woke up from surgery. Dr. Roche met again with me and my husband and then I was lead into the oporating room. I remember waking up and being in a little bit of pain but nothing over the top. I was able to rest in the recovery room until I was ready to go home. The nurse was so sweet, she helped me get dressed and made sure my husband knew exactly how to care for me. I went home and rested most of the day. The nurse called me the next day to make sure I was feeling ok and she walked me threw washing. Every day I felt better and better. All of my follow up visits went smoothly. I was welcomed to come into the office anytime I had a question or was unsure how I should be doing things (using a product on my incisions) Everyone who workes there was always there for me! I am so glad that I was able to be so blessed and have such a great experience.
I can not express how very thankful I am for Dr. Roche and his staff.

Also, I'm not sure any of the "gals" working there have a license or college degree. Surgical care is a lot more important than a "pink" office. Get real!
Well. What a nice comment. Assuming you're not an employee :-) I'm seriously in need of a new saline implant. I've done a lot of research. Just to correct you, though I'm certain you're already aware. There are NO licensed nurses taking care pre op or post op surgery. And, I would prefer a professional nurse caring for me once my surgery is completed.
Horrible
I went to Dr. Roche in November 2013 for a revision liposuction and he made the area 10 times worse. I ended up in the hospital twice. I didn't have enough taken the first time I had lipo so I had some uneven areas. The doctor who did my orginal surgery has moved so I had to find another Dr. in my state. I went to Dr. Roche because I saw a lot of advertisments. Please don't make the same mistake as I did. Michigan has some great Dr.'s who are really skilled. I rushed and ended up wasting $8000. I tried to go back to Dr. Roche and let him know I wasn't happy but he is so rude he won't even listen to what I had to say after I paid. His office tries not to book follow ups more then at the 3 month mark and 6 month. At those follow ups you won't be seeing the Dr. only the nurse so it was almost impossible seeing him after your surgery. I had to threaten I would file a complaint with the board of Med. if he didn't see me. He then agreed but had a horrible attitude from the moment he saw me. I told him the area had pain now and he didn't examine it or anything. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he did what he could. He has a very arrogant attitude that at first makes you think if he is this arrogant he must be good but that isn't the case. If I could post a picture I would. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. Search his name and you will see he scores very low and others have had the same experience as me.

Very Happy
For a number of years now I have been thinking about getting my boobs done. Having been a loyal WRIF listener for years I was already aware of Dr. Roche from Drew and Mike in the morning. Still, I decided to have a few consults with other surgeons in the area. I can say that none of the other offices I visited had as friendly of a staff and as unique of an office…. the walls are pink! The consultation was great! Dr. Roche listened to my concerns and answered all my questions in a way I could understand. The surgery went smoothly and I was back to normal in 2 weeks. It has been six months now and I can honestly say that this is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It’s made me feel so good about myself. And when you feel great about how you look and feel it trickles down into all parts of your life. So much positive energy around me! I would recommend Dr. Roche to all of my friends.

perfect surgery
I met with Dr. Roche after hearing about him on the radio. He spent alot of time with me and answered all of my questions and then some. His staff made me feel comfortable too. I left knowing this is where I wanted to have my breasts done. I talked to my husband and called a few days later and booked my surgery. They walked me through the entire process. I had no problems. I wanted to let people know that Dr. Roche is a GREAT, caring doctor! I will surely be a return patient.

On November 20, 2014 I posted a complaint regarding prior work performed on me by Dr. ROCHE. My complaint was reviewed by a committee at the State of Michigan and they ruled in favor of Dr. ROCHE and dismissed my claim. With that said, I am formally retracting my prior message and would recommend him to others.
Thanks! My friend is planning on getting plastic surgery, so i will let her know!;)
Business
I have had an exceptionally good experience dealing with Dr. Roche and his team. They respond quickly, are attentive and it is a very good experience working with them.

Horrible surgery
Dr. Gregory roche is a disgrace to plastic surgeons. When I came in for my consultation and all the visits leading up to the surgery he was never anywhere to be found. My results is no where near what I wanted there is not even a noticeable difference and for what I paid that is just flat out ridiculous. The man is completely unprofessional and rude. When I came back to get my staples removed the tech was there to take them out, I asked to speak with the dr. So I can voice my concerns about the out come and what I was told in the consultation (Which by the way he was not at) and he tells me "i don't have time for this I know what you was told" before storming out. Now unless I was illegally being recorded then no he does not know what was said. Now after being so rudely treated I asked for my records and they refused to give them to me stating that "they were too busy to make copies" and that they would mail them to me with in the next week or two. I finally received my records a week and a half later. I then received a call bout my check up appointment and was told they'd canceled my appointment 45 mins. Before I was to be in the office. I asked why and they told me they were extremely busy which is mind blowing that my appointment got booted especially since I had it sched. For about 2months now. The following day I received a notice saying that they will no longer provide their services to me and sent me a list of referrals. That's a slap in the face. I give you thousands of dollars to do a surgery that you failed at only to tell me now that you've gotten my money find another doctor? Dr. Gregory roche needs his license revoked immediately this was completely ridiculous and any one who is thinking of going to him if I were you I would think twice because I assure you, you will regret it!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I believe you. As of right now, I have to get ANOTHER surgery after they did this me. They too are holding my records hostage from my new surgeons office. This is illegal.
Unlike most, I recorded EVERYTHING pics, audio, video and hard copies. Lawsuits do nothing to Roche, check out all of the pending lawsuits against him in his county...
The only thing that will stop this negligence and save other people from this travesty will be exposing him. Which I intend to do.
@ Mizracheal Can I ask you a question ? IF you have never had a procedure done by Dr.Roche, WHY are you even on the complaints board? I mean seriously contact them via Facebook, email, his actual site etc; MOST of these
comments are OLD and bogus to say the least! I seriously have a headache reading through these ridiculous reviews. And I don't blame them for sending paperwork to one patient to remove her statement because these statements are just RIDICULOUS! Especially, the one where her child jumped on her breast and it collapsed (mind you 2 yrs after surgery) and you want the Dr. to fix it for free? When she clearly stated that her child ruptured her breast, it did not rupture on its own?!
Also, you state your a nurse correct. If that is even true about the supposed pill dropping on the floor etc; I mean are people even serious? You never ate dirt as a kid? I understand if this story is even true or untrue, it would be very unprofessional for someone to say, "3 second rule". In which, that is not even the saying it is "the 5 second rule!" So that is how I know that is a bogus review. Boys, hear that ALL the time when they are children. I have 2 nephews that under the age of 9 that eat food of the ground!
@xtrmlypissed since your review was the first one I read. I also read the response from the office, saying basically you had a previous surgery done by another doctor. And you came to dr. Roche's office to have him fix the previous surgeons [censor] up?! My first question to you is, is that true? Just a yes, or a no is all I need. So you went to him to have revision surgery? Correct?! I tried to copy & paste the reply from dr. Roche's practice in which they responded to you, however I wasn't able to. All you have to do is look threw the reviews to see their response. Anyone, whom maybe reading this, should go read it. Because it just goes to show that this particular lady is bogus. What I should do is continue down this complaint board, and continue to discredit all these slandering reviews.
I've gotten numerous procedures done by dr. Roche, not to mention I have recommended him to family & friends.
Whom in turn have had numerous procedures done by dr. Roche. And all of them, only had great positive things to say about him & his his practice.
So back to you, so apparently you are on the heavier side I take it looking @ the review his practice wrote back. That you were a size 22 looking to go to a size 8 more or less in the breasts...? You do know there's always two sides to a every story... Mind you, and your story doesn't even make sense.
Before I even keep typing let me introduce myself as yvonne marone. I have never worked for dr. Roche, nor been an employee of his of any nature, & nor am I related... I'm just simply a patient. Thee only way I know him & his office is by the procedures I have had done along with my friends & family over the last 11yrs. However, I do believe most of these false reviews on this complaint board, is just local competition trying to slander and defame dr. Roche's name! I won't stand for it, no way!
So again let's get back to you! They stated that you left defamatory, and harassing phone messages on their office voicemail?! And you know what, I truly believe you did! I'm just assuming, that your 2 month post-op got cancelled 45 mins prior to coming in, is because they found out what you wrote on here! Duhhhhh...
So in turn they sent you a notice letting you know they will no longer be providing you services, and gave you references. And if he I (Dr. Roche) is such a crappy doctor... Why in the world would you even want to go back for your 2 month check up anyway? Hmmmmmmmmmmm... Makes you wonder huh?!
Needless to say, it is not unusual for a nurse tech.in a office to remove...in which you say staples? What procedure did you exactly have done because if your saying staples then it wasn't just a simple augmentation? I know for a fact you were sent home after your first consult, maybe second and only consult before surgery with a pound of paperwork to sign. Did you even read through the paperwork, when you were signing it?! As to what you were having done? Because I know for a fact it states the possible consequences to your particular surgery.
The office did in fact send your medical records they had on you and what your records stated. Just because they said they were to busy that particular day didn't mean they weren't going to send them to you...in which they did! Then you speak about being illegally recorded? Well, let me give a little education on that topic to you. As long as he (Dr. Roche) is part of the conversation, or any of his staff. They can record whatever they want. So maybe you were recorded.. Ya never know? It's only illegal when a party or parties don't know. However, if whomever (That is recording) is part of the conversation, then whomever can record whatever they desire. Just a little food for thought for you! That is just some more food for thought for you! Needless to say, quit slandering others names because you are unhappy with yourself period. As far as i'm concerned, his office (Dr. Roche) should be suing you, for slander and defamation of character!
One more question; just to quickly clarify an issue. Then, if I have anymore questions when I make my decision, will call your office for a response.
As you know, I'm partial to nurses, as I am one. I understand you said in some of your answers to previous questions, you're being directed by Dr. Roche. But in others, you're actually giving some medical advice. You did say you're the office manager, and I know it's not always easy to be kind and patient with some of these (me) ;) commenters. But, if there are two Professional RN's in your office, why are they not answering these medical questions, as they are licensed to do, and are direct care givers?
@Mizrachel This thread was recently brought to our attention. When reviewing this information we were appalled as to how an employee had represented our office and replied. These types of staff members are no longer employed or affiliated with our office. Currently, every comment is reviewed by the physician and if medical advise is required, it comes only through directions of that physician. Our office does currently have some new staff members but we also have dedicated staff that have been employed with us for over 10 years.
I am sorry to hear that you had developed capsular contracture. And you are correct, it is an accepted risk of the surgery. Our staff is educated and trained to explain all of the complications and risks associated with all of the procedures we perform.
If you have any other questions or concerns, we would be happy to meet with you. Thank you
Thank you for your kind and sincere reply. Some of these negative reviews appear to be several years old. I'm wondering if
Possibly their are new staff members? As the more recent replies to negative complaints seem to be handled in a more professional manner. I also experienced a capsular contracture after my first breast implant, the cause was pretty obvious, I received radiation therapy. and by the way, I've never smoked. I understand
That the healing process isn't as favorable with any surgical procedure when the patient is a smoker, but there certainly other reasons
For scar tissue to form, and it's a common complication, the patients need to understand it is a common complication that is not their fault, and certainly Not from smoking. Maybe with more teaching prior to surgery?
Don't let these ppl get to you. they are all spending too much time bashing an amazing Dr. Im an actual pt of Dr Roche's and Im extremely happy with my proc. Couldn't be happier. infect Im coming back to get them bigger because he was such a Great Surgeon I will only be letting him touch me. Just know your office and the Dr ARE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! Sincerely KB
Thank you so much Kym.
We appreciate you so very much.
Reach out when you are ready!
Dr Roche did my implants 12 yrs. ago.. I have No Scars, Never Had any infections issues. They are perfect in every way. The office staff was very kind to me. Dr Roche was very professional. I cannot go on any more about how Wonderful My experience was. Best Dr I could ever of seen. Im going to get them done again and will be calling No one else but Dr Roche. Everyone of these complaints are false. Its very sad that someone would waste time making false complaints about such a wonderful Dr. Thank you Dr Roche & all the office staff.. You not only made my experience wonderful but I cannot wait for my next with you! Happy New Year to a Great office ... Sincerely Kimberley Hannaford/Butcher
That's really wonderful for you that you had such a positive experience with this Dr. BUT...for you to dismiss the reviews of these other women, I find it quite disgusting. Were you there during their recovery. Do you have access to the medical records? I'm finding ALOT of the same or similar reviews. My only problem right now, as I'm researching docs., is why there isn't an RN post-operatively, monitoring me. Not a medical assistant, not a trained high school grad. Not someone who's only experienced in CPR, is the yearly class requirement.
I also read that a "nurse" dropped a pill and tried to give it to the patient. There's no such thing as a "3 second rule". Definitely not a nurse. And I'm concerned that one of the office assistants marked the surgical site with a marker. Huh? What appealed to me is that I wouldn't need to do a short stay in the hospital. But, other than the dr., the anesthesiologist, whos in charge of my recovery?
@Mizrachel Thank you for your interest in our office. We would be happy to present all of our credentials, education, and certifications for each of our staff members employed. Just to summarize for you, we have 2 surgeons, 1 Double Board Certified D.O. and 1 Board Certified M.D., 3 Certified Medical Assistants, and 2 R.N.'s caring for each and every one of our patients. Our facility is fully accredited. Which provides our surgery centers safety and standards the same as any hospital. Please call our office if we can provide you with anymore information.
yes that happened to me and my mom stopped her from giving it to me and this was in 2002!
PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY! This man was supposed to go around the areola to give me breast implants. He went straight across my areola and around the nipple itself, severing my nerves and completely destroying ALL feeling in my breasts! I will never have feeling in them again. I had bad capsular contracture afterwards in both breasts, yet his team never even muttered those words to me! Now looking back at the post op pics, all of which I have copies of, it is painfully obvious to not only me but the several other docs I have seen since. The reason I know now? Because one day my child jumped on me and my left boob suddenly dropped. I thought it ruptured! Totally freaked out, I went back into the office and the nurse told me it had in fact ruptured and has a slow leak. I then spoke with Dr Roche for about 2 mins, who was super professional in his nike jumpsuit, and he told me sometimes this happens and I can have it redone- for a hefty cost. I was shocked that it hadn't deflated into a pancake like I had imagined, and he told me it was a slow leak and will eventually be totally flat. Thank God I went for a second option, because not only did it NOT rupture, but when my kid jumped on me, it broke the scarred capsule (capsular contracture) so it was now actually hanging like it was supposed to have been all this time. The right one was just all encapsulated still, making it look different than this one. I actually liked it so much better, because it was soft and natural looking. Not all tight and firm like it had always been before, and like the right one still was. Its been a year and its still not deflated. This man is shady and should be in jail. Every day I wish I hadn't been so young and stupid, because I should have sued. It still wont ever bring my sensation or feeling back though. If all these personal stories on here aren't enough to scare u away, let the responses to them scare u away! They are immature and juvenile and disgusting! These are peoples lives we are talking about here!
That is something everyone is aware of. when you choose to have implants shoved in your breast you take the risk of loosing feeling. I did but thru the years it has came back. Dr Roche is an amazing Plastic Surgeon.. I wouldn't let anyone else touch me.. KB
He's actually licenced as an ENT doctor. Licensed Professional Information:
Osteopathic Physician [protected] . You can look it up on LARA
Like many other people posting the horrible experience with Dr Roche, I also would NEVER recommend him to anyone. I had multiple surgical procedures done by him a few years back. I had a mini face lift done. It became infected and I had to see another surgeon to treat me. I also had my lower eye lids done and was not happy with the outcome. I had to pay another surgeon to do them again. PLEASE PLEASE look him up on the state of Michigan web site. I post everywhere I can because if I can save one person from going through what I have gone through. please do your homework on this man. He does not seem to care about his patients once he gets his money and I am sure his staff will read this and come to his defense as usual...
I had a very bad experience and would never go back! I almost never saw the doc and he was never at a consult. My boobs turned out terrible and my cost as 5400. I have a huge caved in scar where my implant tried to come out and caused necrosis. They are uneven also. during the surgery the PA dropped a pill on the floor and said 3 second rule and gave it to me anyway! I hate that he is still practicing!
Why would you eat that pill? I would of said NOT.. throw it away and get me a new one.
@Sherryg57 I believe I had reached out to you earlier in this thread. Please refer to the above reply and contact my office. Thank you
patient satisfaction
First, he spends no time with his patients. I stated I had a metal allergy, and when i woke up from surgery, I had metal staples in my leg that were killing me by the second day. My skin actually rejects metal. Secondly, the didn't clean my face after surgery. My husband was disgusted that I had dry blood all over my face when I walked out. The didn't even...
