10 years ago I installed CertainTeed decking in both front and rear of my home. Now the rear decking has developed blisters.
I filed a warranty claim with pictures to CertainTeed, they came back and said unless I could produce a recipt show the CertainTeed product, they would not honor the claim since Fiberon also produced the same product for distribution.
I then complained to CertainTeed and they responded that a contract with my contractor would be fine. I sent a copy of the contract I had with my contractor to CertainTeed.
They have now come back and said the the deck was installed improper. They said it was install enclosed to the ground with little or no ventilation. My decking is 8 1/2" above ground level and installed with the CertainTeed screwless clips. Without a site visit I do not understand how the can determine improper installation and using their recommended installation and installation clips I do not understand howthere is no proper air flow.
CeertainTeed is trying to avoid honoring this warranty claim.

I am the second owner of my home. The windows I am referring to were installed in 2005 and 22 out of the 24 CertainTeed windows seal are bad. I filled out the warranty claim for and was denied they state my home is a commercial building and the warranty was up 9 months ago. I have a two family home however I occupy the entire home, commercial property is 4 or more units, so I do not understand this rational except they do not want to honor the warranty. I have tried calling the legal department for a week now and the operators are always busy. I sent and email to the communication manager and have not gotten a response. I have been researching to get the contact information John Crowe and have failed so far.

I have all the documentation and many pictures of the bad seals and the company is well aware these seals were bad they had so many issues with them in the past that is why they stopped making them.

I intallled Certain Teed Shingles to match exsisting shingle on and addition and sunporch in 1999. They have been curling up the last couple of years while the rest of the house is fine which were replaced in 1998.
