On 1/09/2025 I purchased a round trip to Bangkok from Manchester flying out on 16/02/2026 @£1135 The schedule was great,booked a connecting flight to Udon Thani,our booking was confirmed on Etihad site do no worries.I thought.
2 weeks prior to flying i checked the Etihad app.We were no longer booked.
No notification of this.No answer on phone.No email response.I made contact that evening through calling a ticket purchase line.I posed the ? and some Indian guy said if i wanted to go then i must rebook.The only available flight was next day with a poor schedule.16 hour layover in Zayed airport.Hotel required at Bangkok too due to the late landing times.Rearranging flight and hotel bookings in Thailand.The new flights were a wopping £2088.58 I asked for the original payment to go toward the second booking,he refused saying a refund was already initiated.This was later confirmed in an email along with ticket confirmation.7-10 working days.
Since then i have travelled i can not get through on the phone,so tried wattsapp the same false promises and lies.Now blocked.Over six weeks now and no refund.
I have incurred extra hotel and travel expenses endured a poor travel itenary endless conversations with my bank causing me further cost and stress.
The company BestairfareUK of Ilford should be prosecuted for operating in this manner.They cancelled my booking without notification and double the price for a less favourable itenary.
Etihad confirmed that the original flights operated as normal and the withdrawal of our names from passenger lists was instigated by BestairfareUK
Totally unscrupulous scam.
Claimed loss: £2088.58 MINUS £1135With additional costs of £300 added £1253.58 in allTaking the original booking cost away from the second booking and added extra charges incurred due to their bait and switch practices.
Desired outcome: My refund as requested and the company investigated and prosecuted for illegal and damaging practices.

We have experienced exactly the same scenario. First family visit to the Far East for years after scrimping and saving.
I found out the company had not booked the flights by off chance when trying to reserve seats via the airline.
We have instigated a bank chargeback and fingers crossed the bank will claw back the money. Have you instigated a chargeback with your bank?
I have today reported the company to Trading Standards via Citizen's advice online. I have also reported the company to the Met for fraud and will be reporting them to their Domain hosts in an attempt to get their sites taken down. I will be flagging with Momondo, Expedia etc. too so they do not link to the major comparison sites.
I am flagging with Action Fraud also.
Next step flagging with Google, Microsoft etc to get a red flag vis search engine.
BTW they also operate via Travel Pod UK Ltd.
I'd suggest everyone that has been scammed reports them to every organisation possible. I know they will pop up with a new company name, but at least we can lose them many thousands by disrupting their scam and reporting to all appropriate authorities.
My wife hasn't seen her aging mother for years so is utterly heartbroken. This company and all of its shell equivalents need to be taken down.
