Hello,
My name is Ashley Strange
On Saturday 12/16 I took a CPR course with instructor Linda O'neal, In Vancouver Washington. the class was quoted for 5 hours for a renewal which never in my renewal classes have I taken a course that long. Linda would stop videos several times to insert personal opinions, some of which had nothing to do with CPR and would continue for 10-15 minutes at a time.
As it came down to compression time, Linda would yell at class members, (Myself especially) and one other classmate, if the compressions were not good enough. I understand constructive criticism, but yelling is not how it should be dealt with.
Once the other classmate finished her test, I was left with Linda alone. Linda continued to yell at me, and tell me i would never be able to save someone in a real life situation. When I asserted myself, and asked her to show me the best wat to use the mannequin, she very rudely demonstrated.
After testing off she stated to me " Did you have traumatic experience's in your life? Have you dealt with people who have told you what to do a lot? Because when I raised my voice to you you got upset." She then proceeded to tell me that I needed counseling and that I would never get anywhere in life until I dealt with it.
Never in my life have a dealt with someone so unprofessional!
