Light In The Box The quality of a dress I purchased and their limited return policy

I purchased a dress the end of last month. I was very disappointed because it seemed much more like a house dress/nightgown than something I would wear to some place. Photos can't tell you how the material feels. I don't remember seeing the 7 day return policy but I understand the cost to return it would be very high. No, I will never purchase anything from them again no matter how nice it looks in the photo. Realistically, 7 days is not much time and should be shown prominently in their advertisements.

Light In The Box Swimwear

I ordered 2 swimming costumes of different sizes, as they said I could return one in 7 days no questions. What they didn't say was that I had to return it to CHINA, and pay the postage myself (cheapest cost is £14 for this package. This is after paying £8 for postage of 2 very light items in the first place. So my £23 swim costume will now have cost £45. This is a scam.

Desired outcome: Ability to return the item to UK address for reasonable return postage cost (< £5) and get my money back in a ressonable timeframe (< 3 weeks)

Light In The Box Tried to Return an Item

I ordered a bikini bathing suit in a size small, which, according to their size chart, should have fit. It was way bigger than a small. I tried to return the item within 7 days as their policy states but I couldn't get the "return or exchange" option to come it so I looked up the return address, and sent the bathing suit along with a letter explaining the issue and a copy of the page on their website that wouldn't bring up the "return or exchange" option to: 4970 Joule St., Reno, NV 89502. I paid the postage of $5.85. This was done on 4/18/23. On 4/26, I got the package back with the following label:

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund, to include the postage I paid.

Light In The Box Prom Dress

I placed an order with them for daughters prom dress this pass Sunday within 20 minutes of placing the order we canceled the order because it would not come on time…. I had to ask for refund 5 times….. before they agreed to give me my money back…. the cost was $175. These scammers keep $64 dollars of my money… and even try to run my card for another 175. Do not order from them….. Where is my money?

Light In The Box 1 dress and 2 swimsuits

On 12/31/22 I ordered 2 dresses and 2 swinsuits from Light in the Box. They arrived 1/12/23. I was very disappointed in the quality of the merchandise. I did keep 1 dress but returned 1 dress and 2 swimsuits due to not being as described online. The dress had an unfinished hem at the bottom. 1 swimsuit had a seam rolled to the outiside of the bra area and sewn that way, the other was supposed to have a V wire bra but there wasn't any wire anywhere in the suit. All items were very cheaply made with very thin material.

I immeadiately contacted customer service on 1/12/23, the day they arrived and asked for a shipping label as I wanted to return them and get my money back as they weren't as described online. I received an email asking that I reconsider my decision to send them back and they would offer me a small refund and a credit toward other merchandise. They explained it may cost $40 to ship it back. I insisted I wanted my refund which was $127.96. They also sent a mail stating there was only a 7 day window that I had to send this back to them. After multiple emails I found where I could email a supervisor which I did. She responded stating they didn't have a return label but gave me the address where and how to ship it back to them in China. She stated it would take 2-4 weeks for them to process it but assured me I would get the refund due me. It is now 4/17/23, 3 months later and no refund, I did dispute this through my credit card and was informed that Light in the Box states they weren't returnable items. The items were misrepresented online. I supplied several pictures to them showing the differences in the description and the items I received. I have appealed the dispute and supplied my credit card company with all the supporting documentation, including the emails from them and their supervisor. Hopefully this is enough information for them to refund me my money. I would never recommend Light in the box and would never buy from them again.

Desired outcome: Get my refund of $127.96 from Light in the Box.

Light In The Box Customer service is not working for me

My order # [protected]. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com.I received the clover mother of the bride dress without the bow. I tried customer service, but couldn’t get through.. After I downloaded light in the box app, I lost my orders, there is no order history. I registered my cellphone and removed the house phone from the record, not sure if this identifies me as a new customer.

How could you fix the missing bow? If it is sent, I can attach it.

Light In The Box Multifunctional electric bath brush

Received today. Plugged in to charge, indicator light showing “red” left on charge for 5 hours, indicator light now show “blue “.

Unplugged it, pushed on/off button, but does not turn on, and light turns red again.

Went to LightInTheBox support page, and was advised that all I can do, is either send it back at my own expense or keep it and get 10% discount off my next order.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund please.

Light In The Box Scam company ! Charged, but did not ship twice

Charged me for two different orders, but never shipped to my house. Claimed they had the wrong address which was wrong because the first time they get the address right second third order they shipped to New Jersey. Four states away. Then they claimed it was my fault for having the wrong shipping information. I use PayPal, which had all the correct information populated. If you do a Google search for the bad reviews, you’ll be shocked. ! Also look at the reviews on their Facebook site ! This is a scam company

Light In The Box T-shirt refund

I ordered a T-shirt and it wasn't right for me. I began the (incredibly overly complex) refund process and was waiting for the promised email from the customer service team (instructed that it would be sent within 24 hours of my form completion) but it never arrived. I've heard nothing since. It's been more than two weeks.

Light In The Box Clothes

I am trying to return three summer tops which are all totally unsuitable.

I will have to pay to return the items and would only get half the money back from the company, if the money is ever sent to me, which, really, I doubt. The photos on the website are nothing like the items sent to me. Looking on the website about complaints it looks as if the majority of complaints have never been resolved.

I am writing to you to see if there is such a thing as putting this company on notice by putting a marker on the advert, saying: -Be Wary when dealing with Light in the Box - so that other people will not be duped like I was for about £80, which is a lot of money to lose and it takes a long time to earn.

Light In The Box Oriole Feeder

For two Oriole Feeders on 3/23/2023. Arrived on 4/2/2023. I immediately opened one box to assemble the feeder. The square center piece that holds feeder together immediately came unsoldered before the feeder was even assembled due to shoddy workmanship.

I did not even open the second feeder. I repacked the first feeder exactly as it had arrived.

I went straight to the Light in the Box website and attempted to request a return label. The photos would not attach. I submitted the request and offered to send the photos.

There was absolutely no record of this request.

Therefore, today, I submitted another request for a return label with pre-paid postage. This time the photos did attach. I requested a full refund, plus a refund of the postage I paid for this unsatisfactory and shoddy product.

Light In The Box Lightinthebox return policy

I purchased 6 tee shirts in one specific size. When I received them, every one of them were of different sizes and the quality was poor.

Lightinthebox supposedly has a 7 day "no questions asked" return policy. Then to find out they want you to ship it back to China at your cost. The items cost me $85.93 with an additional $28 charge to ship to me when purchased. To ship them back (at the cheapest rate) is $55. So, I would be a total of $2.93 to the good. On top of that it would take 2-4 weeks to get a "refund". They did mention they would pay half of the return shipping in the form of a credit. I would not buy anything else from them especially knowing they are a chinese company.

Desired outcome: Lightinthebox should pay for return shipping.

Light In The Box Ladies Pant Suit

I ordered a pant suit, a regular size that they offer. It did not fit. I contacted Light In The Box immediately the same day I received it to return and get a refund.

Their website "Returns" CLEARLY STATES they have a 7-DAY-NO-REASON-RETURN.

They WILL NOT HONOR WHAT THEY HAVE ON THEIR WEBSITE!

I WILL NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE AGAIN AND NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Light In The Box Tunic ordered and poor customer service

Beginning March 11, 2023 and still ongoing...

Do not order from this business! Immediately upon receiving this item, ordered in 2 sizes larger as instructed in garment page and finding it so tight I could hardly get it on and which could not even be buttoned having a 2-inch gap, I initiated a refund, It's been one month now, and instead of being "contacted within one business day' by a customer service rep, several days would go by with no response whatsoever and me having to send yet another inquiry. Those responses I finally did get, I followed their instructions to provide further "proof" that the item did not fit only to be given a further run around even after photographs were sent, no telling me to send them my measurements by using a tape measure which I do not own and refuse to purchase simply on their idiotic behalf. NEVER have I dealt with such a shoddy business with such sub par merchandise and business methods. Steer clear of this business at all costs!

I am writing on behalf of my mother Pearl Newman who purchase 3 very costly dresses from you, whilst under the impression that you were trading from the UK.

It is not clear on your website that the goods were being shipped from China, in accordance with international trading standards.

She is a size 18 and purchased size 20 for comfort, having consulted your sizing guide.

The dresses were far too small, thus not complying with their description or adhering to what a consumer has a right to expect according to the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Several weeks on we are still in a highly unsatisfactory place.

Following my mother being told she could return the dresses for a refund, after much insistence on her part, she found she had to post them priority international post to China at a monstrous cost of £75! (Surely more than the cost to make the garments).

Many weeks later, the good have been returned to her, the sender, having failed to pass through customs. The manufacturers are clearly operating above the law, selling internationally with no care to provide a return address within the customer’s country or indeed any way to actually return faulty or ‘not as described’ goods.

So, we are in a position where we have dresses smaller than advertised, we have spent £75 on postage only have the unwanted goods returned and we have no refund in sight.

I have sought advice from Trading Standards and the UK International Consumer Centre who are very interested in the way you and other international manufacturers trade.

You are required by law to provide your company location and set out extra charges such as delivery and return costs at point of purchase. Nowhere on your website does it clearly state that this will be to China at a cost of £75.

I am demanding a full refund for the dresses and for the Parcel Force postage that she was advised to pay for. I feel that you are taking advantage of the elderly who are not as wary as the rest of us when it comes to cheap mass imported goods from China masquerading as a quality online fashion store.

If you cannot find a satisfactory conclusion to the issue, we will be making further legal steps.

No word from yourselves in all this time and I still haven’t had a penny returned from you which is a disgrace! I’m out of pocket by £100 including postage and I think I have been more than patient . Light In The Box False product

I ordered this shirt (http://litb.cc/l/igXr). It arrived to me not as advertised. The embroidery was printed on (despite the fact that the website said it was embroidered). The cloth is made from very poor material. The shipping took ages. I paid a whole lot for a product that was not the real thing. It had an odor as well. I have a requested for a refund but customer service has not gotten to me yet. LITB is a scam, please avoid them at all costs.

Hi customer service is appalling. I purchased a dress suit from thos company.. When I received it. It was very bad quality and didn't look the same as on website photo.. When I received it there was no ticket or even a label attached no confirmation order ticket nothing.. So I returned it back to the the only adresd that was on the package with a note to say it was from light in the box.. I then receive a message (lin the box) to say that I have to contact the retailer in asia for a refund. That was it.. I have since been trying t o contact light in the box. But there is no custom email and its just not an easy customer service. I paid £47 for the outfit it was returned and I want my refund. I purchased from lin the box and therefore they are responsible for refunds and I will take the matter further if I don't receive my refund.. The customer service is appalling. The item was del to my adress of 44a harcourt st luton lu1 3qh 3qh. I have no order number as didn't receive anything with the item. Please look into this matter and honour the refund

Light In The Box Dress received did not fit and have an odor

I received the dress on 03/27!23 and I immediately noticed a sardine type if smell coming from the dress. It is too tight in the arms. I tried contacting the company but I just get the run around. No receipt was in the box or in the bag with the dress. I want to return it and get a refund. I'm planning on sending this dress back to sender since I can not get any assistance online like they advertise.

Light In The Box mother of the bride outfits

i am an 80 year old woman- and searched the internet to find something to wear to my daughters wedding. i found 2 outfits and noticed the 7 day no question asked return policy. when the first outfit arrived- it did not fit well - my daughter helped me contact customer service- they stated my order was made to order- i ordered a size... they want me to measure myself. They tricked me- in the fine print. took advantage of me. i feel horrible and i will be stuck with two outfits that wont fit.
