I would have been better off waiting until the next morning and ordering directly from the in hospital gift shop! I placed a same day order with HospitalGiftShop.com at 6pm and it wasn't delivered until the end of the day, 5pm, the next day.
This is a third party site. It is not associated with the hospital or the website. Since the gift shop at the hospital was closed at 6pm when I called to place the order the hospital phone message directed me to HospitalGiftShop.com. When I heard from the patient's caregiver that the order hadn't been delivered as of 3pm the next day, I contacted HospitalGiftShop.com.
When I called the customer service number, each time it went to voicemail. I left a message and no one responded.
When I used the Track Order option on the website, I received no indication of the order status.
Very frustrating since it was time-dependent birthday gift. At 4:50pm, ten minutes before closing, I got notification that it had been delivered to the reception desk. At 5:12pm the patient received it. Very nerve racking and disappointing.
Recommendation: Order from the in-hospital gift shop not from this third party site. HospitalGiftShop.com provided slow delivery and inability to communicate about the late order.
