Like many of the consumer complaints noted, I too have purchased this product with similar chunks of black material found mixed into the potatoes. This material was thick and hard and looked almost like slices of mushroom. I also like the Bob Evans store-bought potato products. But this is extremely inexcusable on the part of the quality control department. Please get this issue rectified. This is a serious health hazard.
Desired outcome: If what is found in many cases is indeed other food particles from other food processing on this same equipment, a serious revamping of the cleaning, sanitizing and inspection process needs to be in place.
