저는 지금, 오늘 미국에서, 아니 전 세계에서 가장 큰 회사 중의 하나인 Bank of America에서 무레 하게 큰 소리로 불평한 점에 대해 공개적으로 사과합니다. 오늘 아침 10시 30 분, L. A 올림픽, 웨스턴 지점에서 있었던 상황을 개인적인 감정없이 사실 그대로 서술하고자 합니다. =내가 들어 갈 때 제 앞에 손님 6명정도가 줄을 서서 기다리고 있었읍니다. 그후 몇 분 지난 후, 제 뒤로 10~13여명이 생겼읍니다.. 창구안에서는 직원3명이 있었는데, 1명은 정리하는 일로 바뻤고, 2명은 손님을 맞이 하였읍니다. 밖의 고객 상담 장소에서는 6명이 있었는데, 3명은 손님과 상담 중, 3명은 컴퓨터 작업 중. 창구 안의 손님 상대 직원 두 명 중 한명은 손님이 꽤 많은 돈과 여러군데 입급관계로 20분을 훌쩍 지나고 있었고, 다른 직원 한명은 손님 두 명 째 맞이하고 있었읍니다. 제 뒤로 손님은 조금 더 늘어난 상태... 제가 혼잣말로 "아... 이럴때 밖은 직원 한, 두 명만 투입 되도 좋을 텐데..." "내 돈 주러 와서...이게 뭐야!" 하고 투덜 거렸더니, 옆의 한국 아주머니 두 분이 "맞아요. 시간이 돈인데 벌써 30분이나 됐어요"...

여직원 자기 자리로 돌아가고, 나는 할일 시작 할때, 건장한 한국인 남자 직원이 담당 직원 뒤로 와서 나에게...다짜고짜..
직원 :"왜? 큰소리 치고 그러세요?!? 여기 싫으면 이 지점 오지마세요?!?"
본인 :"맞아요! 다시는 오고 싶지 않아요!"
직원 :"손님! 다시는 여기 오지 마세요!"
그러고는 자기 자리로 가서 컴퓨터 일을 다시 한다.
나는 더 이상 할 말이 없었다...20여명의 손님들이 다 나를 쳐다보고 있었다... 나는 나오면서, 아...8가 쪽이 한가한데, 그쪽으로 가야겠다... 그런데, 거기는 은행은 한가한데, 주차가 복잡해 가기가 불편하다... 여기, 가 편리한데...어떻하지...날 기억 할 텐데...
