On December 27 2013 at approximately 18:27 hrs I purchased movie tickets for my wife and I at the above location theater to see Tyler Perry's Christmas movie, showing at 18:50 hrs in theater # 12 at the above location. When we entered the theater there were many young teenagers in the movie and were very loud and disruptive. As the movie began many of them were standing and walking in front of the screen, they were using profanity and being very disrespectful .At one point we thought that a physical fight would begin.
My wife and I were so upset and disgusted, to the point were I left the movie and reported it to the movie staff. They in-turn sent security?( monitor and control these disruptive Kids) We could not enjoy the movie due to this disturbance.
When the movie ended and people were exiting the theater 12, these kids were again loud and using profanity so all patrons in the vicinity could here.
I once again reported it to the manager on duty Ashley Harrington. I expressed to her how dissatisfied we were about the uncontrolled youth in this theater. She showed little interest and said she could offer us a Free pass? I asked for the cooperate address to file a formal complaint which is in process. The point is that Our consumer right to enjoy a theater experience without the uncontrolled behavior and disrespectful action of these youth ! This type behavior could have led to a serious confrontation between these youth and possible injured other patrons of this theater. We request that Cinemark Corporation get a handle on this type of incidents to ensure that patrons who buy theater tickets, can at the very least enjoy the movies without this type of interpretive behavior.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Cinemark - without warning!
I went to Cinemark to watch a movie with my wife and 2 young children.
Jamel 3, and Jerrell 2... We got 4 tickets to got see Qurantine...
Purchased 2 large slurpies and walked our children to our seats..
My wife and i have trained and tought our children well, and how to
respect adults and they are well mannerd.. 15 minutes into our movie
my wife and i were asked to leave the movie by a cinemark employee.
He told us that some one was crying said our kidds were making to mutch noise..witch was completley untrue... come to find out the woman who made the complaint was crying good enough to convince the manager of the cinemark to refund our slurpies, give us tickets to the next movie, and
refund us for Qurantine movie.. Furthermore, my wife was 9 mounths
pregnant and readdy to pop, she was highly iiratated that we had to leave
without warnning! Not to mention that we had just enough gas to go to
the movies and back home one time, Its our anniversary today! so..
we saw aprox 18 min of Qurantine and we got some tickets we will most likley never use being that my wife and i bolth work tihgt sceduals!
"F" CineMark, Sincerely Jerel Butler..
P.S. I will Have my Picket Sighn... Lol.
I'm guessing that even though the op says his children are "well mannered" that they were in fact making too much noise and bothering the other patrons. They were too young for that movie, probably scared, I'm sure they got fussy. The op doesn't actually say their children were behaving at this time, just that they got no warning. I would have asked them to leave as well with full refunds or the option to switch to a more age appropriate movie. If it was after 6 they shouldn't have even be allowed in that movie. The theater staff have a duty to make sure ALL patrons are having a good movie going experience, not just cater to one family who made a questionable movie choice.
I was a manager at Cinemark and I have to say when someone made a complaint about a child being too noisy we would go in and investigate the noise level of ALL the patrons in that auditorium. If the child was no more noisy than any of the adults who should know better I wouldn't bug them. If the child WAS noisy we would talk to the parents and ask them to quiet the children down. If the problem persisted (and I would walk in periodically and do checks) THEN they would be asked to leave with full refunds. I only ever had to do this once when the mother said that she couldn't and shouldn't have to control her 2 year old because he was 2.
Sorry, I hit the wrong button. I agree with this complaint against cinefraud
Cinefart is the worst theater ever. Yeah some say costumer service is their no.1 goal: [censored].
First their CEO uses his dollars to regulate how people get married, as if that is any of his business.
Next they take our benefits at our Egyptian 24 theater, including our food discount; and ontop of that they
lower our pay. They blame it on some [censored] like getting a new server, yet they can buy 12 HD TVs and waste those on the menu. Then their managers are a*holes and [censor]ed; kept telling me to cook the hot dogs despite the fact that I had a long [censor] line to serve, I guess he never figured to get someone from concessions to do it. They are such vultures and cheapskates that they even took the benefit from us that allowed us to use courtesy cups and popcorn, and raised the prices on the motherF--king employee vending machine! These vultures rob everything and leave nothing but chains.
Cinemark theatres did not care about persons with disabilities who go to watch their movies. The ticket office and entryway is on the second floor. Normally, there is both an elevator and a escalator almost nest to the ticket office so persons with canes or in wheelchairs could attend their theatres. tonight, the elevator was not in operation - and no warning notice that it was out of commission. Also, only the up escalator was in operation - so that once up the persons with disabilities had no way to get down. There was no one from management in clear sight. As I painfully hobbled down the two flights of stairs, I saw several elderly ladies, also handicapped, struggling to leave the theatre via the stairs. We will pursue this complaint with the authorities. Cinemark has been sued by the US Government as not being a good faith provider for americans with disabilities.
All of you just ### your way to sound smart. Cinemark is in fact a highly pleasurable theater. Customer service is the number goal, and it is well served. There are those crappy customers who shouldn't go to the movies if they are in a CRAPPY mood, but go anyway. You shouldn't feed your children negative images such as quarantine at an age so young. There's a reason why it is rated R. And out of gas?! That is in no way Cinemarks problem. ANDDD! if you and your wife have such tight schedules, then wouldn't you have a good enough paycheck to pay for gas. not on SLURPEES. AMC might be a high theature than cinemark, but that doesn't mean cinemark sucks. Being an employee for a cinemark theater i know this. We are always trying to find ways to improve the quality of our work and customers SAT.
Plus they gave you all that free stuff to teach you a lesson. Leave the damn kids at home and see it with your wife. Don't mess up the children up like that, seriously. MOVE ON!
I have been in the Movie theater business for about 2 years, 1st year at AMC and the 2nd year at CineMark, and I will tell you this AMC is #1 in Movie Theater business for a reason. The most important thing in this business is Customer Service, AMC has it and CineMark doesn't. And it doesn't matter what your parenting skills are, AMC trains their staff on how to investigate situations and always try to be fair. So next time try to choose an AMC over CineMark, if you can.
Get a babysitter next time. Rated R movies ar for ADULTS...NOT small children. You are a horrible parent for taking them to a movie deemed inappropriate for them to see. Next time, get a babysitter. Or better yet, go to a g rated movie.
You know what is more screwed up? That you took a FOUR year old to see that film, quite frankly you should have left and taken the children home, no matter how well behaved they are. Go see a movie like that with you and your wife, not your young children.
Thats Screwed up!
Cinemark - Refused an extra bag for popcorn sharing
On a recent visit to our Cinemark theater I learned that customer service is a low level priority. I ordered a medium popcorn to share with my son and two cokes. Simple right? Things became very complicated when I asked for an extra bag so that I could separate mine from my son's. The reason is not scientific. I like butter, he does not. I was told by Miss S that they could not carry out my request. I then asked for a box or a child's box. Again the answer was no. I offered to pay. Again, no. I told Miss S that I was willing to compromise to find a solution to the problem. Miss S offered me a plastic tray used by other customers and when I asked her if she expected me to pour the popcorn out of the bag onto this tray and eat it, she said, "Don't worry, these trays are cleaned." I asked her how they were cleaned and she said, "Oh we clean them with a sponge." I then asked to speak with the manager. She entered a side door, took time to tell two other employees who freely admitted that they were not the manager, nor could they help with the situation, but they just wanted to know what was "going on." When the manager, Mr. M arrived, he reinforced what Miss S had told us, except for the sponge cleaning of the trays. He assured me that the plastic trays were cleaned with a "special cleaner." He then added, "some people bring zip lock bags in when they want to share the popcorn, you could do that." What is wrong with this picture? Is this the best service Cinemark can provide? This company expects and posts signs stating food or drinks cannot be brought in from outside their establishment, yet they charge high prices and refuse to provide the customer with the means to enjoy the food safely, without fear of infection, without extra cost or inconvenience. Cinemark spoke volumes that day about how they value their customers. I have ended my ten year relationship with Cinemark. I am now a Regal customer.
05/17/2016 viewing Captain America. Theater was extremely warm. Many people wirer complaining about the heat in this theater. Nothing was done to solve this issue. Over 100 people in theater suffering uncomfortable heat and slippery floors due to the humidity levels. Been a satisfied customer of your company for many years, this was surprising.
You can bet management WAS working on the problem. They just didn't keep you informed of all the steps they were taking to get the ac fixed. We really do care about the comfort of our patrons, just sometimes crap happens and things break, and sometimes you can't get HVAC into the building right away. Sometimes, your movie is over before they arrive to fix the problem.
BTW, ac is NEVER turned off in the summer. It's always set to ~68-72 degrees.
Every time we visited cinemark we always face some or other bitter experience and this time it was a hike, when we enter cinemark today and it was so hot as they have turned off all the a.c. in this summer can you imagine a movie experience without a.c. in a closed hall with lot of people around you in the middle of summer? we tried to complait about it to the menager, who was sitting in a chilled room but he dint care and ask us to go. I wd like to advice cinemark that if they can't afford an a.c. than atleast arrange fan.
My boyfriend and i are movie freaks! We go to the movie theaters on a weekly basis. This day we happened to find a wallet. I know the feeling of loosing something that's so important! And it really sucks! I approached the lady at the box office from the side and I nicely said "excuse me" she imidiatly yelled "you have to wait in line like everyone else" I was honestly surprised because I was only trying to return something I found. I'm honestly really disappointed.
I'm employees and I feel like I get a lot of varbal abuse and harassment by them. They treat me really horrible.
Oh, and while we're at it, our Muvico (which was wonderful) got turned into a Cinemark and now it's ###. The prices keep going up and the maintenance of the building is going down, it's DISGUSTING. So Cinemark, you thieving pieces of ###, join Dick Dick in the rolling-off-a-cliff activity.
Dick Dick your name says it all. You're a dick. A useless, mindless piece of flesh that pollutes this earth. Is it that hard to figure out that what he/she is doing is arguing a PRINCIPLE? I think you'd do us all a favor by rolling off a cliff.
I have been working for a Cinemark in Northern Ohio for four years now and I can honestly say that half of these claims are bogus! I work in three different departments and consider myself well-versed on the company's policies and customer service procedures. To the idiot who cannot share a bag with his child- um, you created him can you not share out of the same bag? Also, you're his parent a.k.a. his boss and the one paying for the popcorn tell that little brat no butter. We also can customer service or give a brown box for [censor]s like you :) and p.s. Regal is a hole in the wall and more expensive, so good luck! We won't miss your business. To the lady with the nachos, that obviously is not in our control. I'm sure that someone could have refunded you or customer serviced you something else to eat. However, why are you buying nachos at a movie theatre? Hello, buy popcorn! To Janiece- first of all I think you maybe so angered with life because your parents chose to spell your name that way. Second, we have to include a rating AND a reasoning for the rating in my theatre. Like the other person said, it is not our responsibility to say "THERE'S GONNA BE LOTS OF BOOBIES AND VULGAR SEX TALK". Maybe if you weren't so amped to get back to your computer and boring husband you could have walked yourself to the box office where you bought the tickets and asked for a refund like normal people. I'm sorry that all of you haven't had the best service in the past. I have also had things thrown at me and been cussed at. I love my job, but dealing with nasty customers is not always easy. All of you seem to live in CA, so maybe a trip to Strongsville, Ohio would show you how a real Cinemark opperates.
Well I think that the lady who made the complaint is right, I go to the cinemark at the pike in long beach, CA the service there as far as their attitudes were not great at first but they are better now. But if I want to share a popcorn or get water they have separate items to use for those requests, they have brown paper trays they can give you to split the popcorn, also they have water cups to put water in instead of using the main products boxes or cups, so their inventory is not really messed up. Why don't the Cinemark's in you guy's areas do that?
Janiece:
Have you ever heard of IMDB.com? It is not the theaters responsibility to print the entire content of a movie in the newspaper. A movie theater is in control of how a feature is presented, not what is presented.
I just returned from your theatre in Daly City, CA. The paper didn't state that "The Hangover" had nudity, disparaged Jesus, had a scene which showed pubic hair, the rear end, and a scene where the guy was moving a little baby's hand as though the baby was masterbating. I was forced to leave, as I had been waiting to see if the movie had any redeeming qualities. I asked your theatre employee, a female, if I could have your corporate headquarters address. She refused. I was not the only person who left that nasty movie. I saw nothing in the newspaper which would lead me to believe that the movie was anything but funny. I lost $7.75 and would like a refund, please. I am: Janiece T. Duronslet. My address is:144 Westmoor Ave. Daly City, CA. 94015. I am requesting that you print, in the newspaper, that a movie might contain scenes which are not suited for all people. I went to the movie rather than staying home to watch my husband read the paper, then fall asleep. Perhaps I should have stayed home, as I am now. Thank you, Janiece Duronslet
Did the R-rating not clue you in to this fact?
