Sunrun review: Sunrun designed my system wrong – now I pay more than before solar

I entered a lease with Sunrun Inc. based on clear promises of energy savings and reduced PG&E costs, especially to support future EV charging.

The system was incorrectly designed based on inaccurate usage calculations, resulting in insufficient production.

As a result:

My total energy costs increased
The system cannot support intended EV usage
The expected financial benefit was never realized

Despite providing documented proof of the error, Sunrun has refused to acknowledge or correct the issue and instead relies solely on the signed contract.

This experience has been extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend others independently verify all assumptions before committing.
