SimonMed review: Scheduling

I was referred to SimonMed for an MRI for colon cancer. They called me and scheduled an appointment for May 23 at their San Bernardino location, about 2 weeks. On May 21, they called to inform me that they did not do that procedure at that location, or Redlands, or Riverside. I would have to go to Laguna Hills which is about a 2-hour drive from my home on a weekday. And the next available date is June 19.

There was a similar issue with a CT scan, which they scheduled for a Monday at San Bernardino, then called to say they only did it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was able to switch that appointment to Riverside without delaying the appointment further.

It’s possible I may only have needed a minor procedure, but the continued delay of treatment may result in major surgery.
