On Nov. 29, 2025, my original ticket from Kuwait City to Guangzhou was booked on a business class ticket (J class), seat 5H. When I went to the airport to check in, I received my boarding pass with seat assignment 10H. However, when I went to actually board, I was told that seat 10H was broken, there were no other business or first class seats available, so Kuwait Airlines decided unilaterally to put me in economy and gave me a voucher as compensation, which I objected to, but had no choice but to accept since I had a tight connection in Guangzhou. The voucher they gave me as compensation is only for future travel and expired 3 months from that date. Since I have no plans travel on Kuwait Airlines or to visit Kuwait again within that time frame, this is literally me getting cheated out of $1587.42 USD, which I find unacceptable. I therefore asked them to consider another option for reimbursement of said amount.
To date, Kuwait Airlines has not responded to multiple inquiries about this matter.
Claimed loss: $1,587.24
Desired outcome: Response and refund
