HGTV Home town

Over the past several months, you are airing "Home Town" way too often for my tastes. Today (December 6, 2020), it was the only show that aired for most of the day. It feels like you are trying to force us to like the show or to increase the fan base for a certain demographic. I do not like having a show shoved down my throat. Some of your hosts tend to brag too much. While your hosts for this show seem like nice people, they are among the most irritating when it comes to bragging. If "Home Town" is on, I will not watch your channel. Please air "Home Town" less often.

Thank you.

Frank Trotter

Please take this program off HGTV. The main character (the woman). Has such a annoying, whiny voice. I used to watch HGTV nightly but with Hometown on so often I cringe whenever your channel comes up. Ugh. Please bring back Flip or Flop and Christina o the Coast and totally get rid of Hometown. What a disgusting show.

I agree with all of the above. On January 24, 2021 I was watching and the host tells about the home and who it belonged to for 50 years. Then she proceeded to tell about how bad the house smelled. I felt embarrassed for the former owners and I feel it was very unfair of this young lady to be so rude. She also had to go into detail about her own allergies. I watch these shows to learn something but this show has become so repetitive it wears me out. HGTV needs to get back to home and gardens not the same old rip out the walls tear out the cabinets and paint the new colors and we are the heroes for finding a problem that keeps the old house not falling down. I learn more at the local lumber yard than I do from this show.

HGTV Programing

Home town is boring. Horrible houses and decorating is terrible. Trying to be chip and joanna but never will be able to. It's a terrible show along with the mother daughter duo. Horrible decorating. Windy city should focus on redesign and decorating which is good. Love it and list it needs to renovate itself. It's is so frustrating to watch horrible shows and all the multitude of repeats. Million dollar dream home host is awesome but too many repeats.

Is everything “too outdated “ to ever reuse? Is all natural wood ugly and must be repainted (for ever and ever)? Has the modern couple become so demanding that many past beautiful designs totally ugly? To age gracefully might be a new program?

HGTV Where is the white house christmas 2020?

I've searched for upcoming shows 2 weeks out and the 2020 White House Christmas show is not listed. It hasn't been promoted which has me suspicious that it will not be shown this year.

The White House is the people's house. It's exciting to see each year's theme and creativity of bringing it to life.

We should all take pride in the White House and acknowledge the work that professionals and volunteers put in to transform it during this season of hope and giving.

I hope there is an alternative to HGTV if they have chosen not to produce a show this year.

I agree! This isn’t a political agenda, it’s THE White House. It is bought and paid for by the people of America and it is ALWAYS decorated for Christmas and viewed.

HGTV Magazine delivery

My subscription to HGTV Magazine expires December 2021 but I have not received but one copy of the magazine all this year. I have repeatedly called HGTV Magazine customer service & advised them of this problem, to no avail.
They always tell me they will send me back issues, etc. but that never happens. I do not know what else to do.
I really enjoy this magazine & wish to resolve the problem.
My account number is HGT1105051930/4.

HGTV Advertisements

HGTV has always been a way to escape all the "bad" information that we are bombarded with on a day to day basis. Now you have gone full blown political advertisements. I am one of those that usually don't complain, I just stop using a product or in this case, stop watching. I don't think I am the only person that watches for an escape, so with that said, I hope the money for the advertisements was worth a consumer.

HGTV Biden commercials

This is a no good politician and it's ridiculous we only see this corrupt clown commercials. Where are the proud Americans president Trump commercials? America loves President Donald Trump and do not like Jow Biden, he did nothing for the past 40 years and will do nothing if elected. Let's see Trump commercials.

HGTV Love it or list it

HGTV is bludgeoning viewers with this tired show. I realize that there are folks that still like the show and that's fine. But the incessant programming just pushes those that are sick of it to another network. You have even put it in place of House Hunters, (any variety), which has been a favorite of viewers. This Labor Day weekend, the marathons are over the top. Give us a break and resume programming that is enjoyable and quit with the experimentation.

HGTV Ridiculous Shows Where Subject NeverChanges

Make it stop! I am so so sick and tired of all these show you have started that are a spin on Fixer Upper! Allow me to explain...
It is the same nonsense! The husband and wife duo where the wife is the smart one and the guy or husband is the demolition guy, the neanderthal goofy guy that is good for breaking stuff apart, hoarding, occasionally building an awesome piece of furniture where everyone acts surprised like wow how did he do it! The most annoying is for example this "Fixer To Fabulous" where we have the couple with a bunch of kids, the designing smart straight man wife and OF COURSE the goofy wise-cracking, hoarding, construction guy husband that brings home a kitten for the kids! Sound FAMILIAR? Fixer Upper all over again! GET a CLUE HGTV...we are all sick of it. Fixer Upper was Fixer Upper, PLEASE STOP trying to replace it with the next couple! Desert Flippers, same thing the wise cracking husband with the goofy jokes and the straight man wife. The Afro American couple from Tennessee where she is his EX and they flip houses together and it sounds like she is reading from "Q" cards! BAD...and of course the other Caucasian couple from Tennessee that has ZERO charisma. Now we have the couple in the Bahamas with all the kids again redoing a hotel! And of course we have the bumbling husband with the sledge hammer and the oh so smart designing wife. Yeah okay when is it going to stop. Food Network= ruined. HGTV= ruined. To top if off we have Oprah now calling the shots with other nonsense. NO thanks. Never changes and the politically correct garbage is getting harder and harder to swallow. BS shows that are pandering to the left instead of being fair. Sick of it!

HGTV House hunters and international

These are the only programmes that I love and we are given so very few episodes and they come on very late at night from 10pm to 12midnight and that's a shame. I am a senior citizen and am very disappointed cause I have cable just to see HH International and see the world.

I hate All the flips and flops and the sameness and predictability of every other show. I so miss the family from Wako!

Too few HH and HH International and too late for old people. Thank you!

HGTV Subscription

I received a bill for a subscription that was never ordered. The cost vs what is shown online is different. Upon looking around the internet I found this website and the other complaints match mine. So I received a billing showing an amount of $12.00 which doesn't come up on the online ads.
A account # of [protected] is shown on the billing and billing is for 11 issues which I have never heard of. Most magazines are 12 months. So, Cancel-Cancel this order if it is legit (which I doubt).
Thanx, Larry Hirte for Barbara Hirte...

HGTV House Hunter programing

Earlier this year I wrote you a complaint about House Hunter and Fixer Upper not being televised with the change in HGTV ownership. You partially responded by putting House Hunter back on at 10:00 EDT several nights like it was shown previously and that I watched practically every night. I can't figure out what your programming people are thinking. I still never see Fixer Upper on. Now you have come along and ruined the on thing that you partially did correctly according to my opinion. You have ruined House Hunters by making it some kind of comedy show. It is awful. You have sufficiently completely lost me and my family as HGYV viewers.

HGTV Programming

The hgtv network provides great programs, but it's also a place I like to go to escape the madness. I don't need to watch Oprah in a one sided narrative, piling on hard working American citizens with lies and propaganda based on a false narrative whch is then obediently pushed by leftist media to destroy this country. Thanks for nothing. Leave the political lies and trash to the networks who have already claimed state controlled propaganda status. I cannot tell you how repulsive I find this one sided bs to be. Never again, screw your network.

I completely agree but I cannot find any straight forward way to provide that feedback directly. The false narrative is being spread broad and wide and the wall put up to silence all that have a different perspective is high. I now have it at work, social media, mainstream media and now HGTV. I am really disappointed.

HGTV "where do we go from here" with oprah winfrey

While watching HGTV on the evening of June 9th, I was very dismayed by your programming decision to air a program featuring Oprah Winfrey called
"Where Do We Go From Here".

I tune in to HGTV for its content which should feature design and home improvement projects, which I have a great interest in. I don't tune in for political or moralizing indoctrination or propaganda. If I feel the need for that type of programming I'll turn on CNN.

I have watched HGTV since it first started, and I resent the trend towards more social engineering content. Keep it up and I'll vote with my feet.

HGTV Advertising

HGTV is supposed to be family friendly, however, over the last several months there has been more and more advertising for scary or murder related shows like those on the ID network.

Please do not allow these types of commercials on your station. There needs to be a safe haven from this kind of material. Please return HHTV to being that safe place.

HGTV Commercial for fox nation

I find the commercial you are running for FoxNation to be divisive in its message. Especially to feature a photo of President Clinton with the word "scandalous" in bold type. It's clearly pushing a GOP agenda. Let political ads run with a clear statement of where the funding comes from - but this is a different type of ad all together. If HGTV has a GOP agenda then I don't want to watch it anymore.

HGTV Honey pot commercial

I was watching your house hunters show and saw the honeypot commercial. I like honeypot and the commercial was fine until the African American girl made the comment "for the next black girl who has an idea". Do you not think other ethnic groups can have ideas and start businesses? Very discriminating. If this is the type of commercials this channel will display, then its time to watch other channels.

HGTV Content

I was shocked and offended by the house hunter episode featuring the trouple.
C'mon - did we really have to go there?
House hunters was such a great show.. A place where you could escape all the nonsense of the world today.
But now you brought all that back to us.
Trendy-political were not terms I thought of for hgtv.
Thought you guys were above it.
So sad

The House Hunter episode featuring the “trouple” was the last straw for me. The woman made the blatant comment that she was bisexual which is information that certainly doesn’t belong on what used to be a family friendly program. There appears to be an agenda being forced on us, but we as viewers still have a choice as to what we watch and what advertisers we support. I will cancel my dvr recording of House Hunters, and if necessary, stop watching HGTV altogether.

HGTV Programming content

As I sit here watching House Hunters, I ended up muting the program. Why? In S184, E8, I was introduced to the "truple." The husband was straight, the wife bi, and a third woman was the other partner of the wife, a sickening addition to this show.

HGTV seeks out these types of relationships to promote them as acceptable. It is unbelievable that this ungodly life style is featured on HGTV or any channel for that matter.

This is a sad time and deal breaker. That the producers would assault the American family with such foul content shows the darkness that's in their hearts. Care a little more about your audience and clean up your act!

HGTV...you should be ashamed of yourself. The Throuple show is a disgusting example of what is happening to what should be a wholesome family show. I will block your show so my kids do not think that this is a DECENT show to watch. You have succumbed to the deplorable values that are rearing their ugly heads on family shows!

"Thruples, Truples" ? No matter what you call it, monogamy is monogamy, although "truples" is far more than having more than one spouse in separate homes; this is an all-time low for HGTV. I could not believe what I was seeing, so I exercised my freedom and changed the channel. I hope you don't do this on my favorite show, Home Town, or any others. You should have given your viewers the courtesy of an explanation of the content in advance of the show. Perhaps I missed it, if you did. However in this case a special announcement should have been provided for viewers/parents to take note of the viewer advisory labels. In my future viewing, I will be selecting my "Information" button to read about the content of episodes. One would think that a program about people house hunting would not require such a need though.

I did not like the “truple “ episode and turned it off. That is not a typical family and since I always thought your station was safe to watch with children I no longer feel that way. You introduced a life style that is not appropriate for all ages. Please think harder before you jump into the unusual pool. I do not need have a lifestyle like that put in my face.

My husband and I are deeply disappointed in the “truple” episode. HGTV used to be a solid family viewing program that has desended into content that belongs on Showtime or HBO. If HGTV wants to grow their audience, they might be surprised when people like me pull the plug on this show and actually have the reverse effect. The need to celebrate sexual deviancy on a channel that is focused on home ownership is beyond the pale. It seems that HGTV is going out of their way to over-represent small percentages of the population and go for shock value instead. It’s unfortuante that HGTV does not see the power of the viewer.

I was surprised at the program also. I'm done with HGTV. They went from a good craft show, to a greedy flipping real estate program that helped normalize the 2008 housing crash and gentrification...money, money...and now a truple? Come on. Why do we need to know this?

HGTV Small characters that appear at the bottom of the tv

Hi HGTV,

I love to watch your shows, but lately it have been very, very, very annoying with the small characters appearing at the bottom of the TV. Its to the point where I turn the channel when this starts to happen and its a shame because
I really enjoy your TV shows. But because of this new annoyance I can't bear to watch your shows anymore.

HGTV Television shows

I am, or was, an avid fan of HGTV. However, I am no longer a fan or a watcher of your program. All of your shows center around buying, selling, flipping, renovations, etc. Where are your shows about crafting, gardening, decorating, etc.? These are shows that started my passion with your programs. Why?

Extremely disappointed in your shows. HGTV is no longer fun. :(

You are promoting a new show featuring four WOMEN designers, but this morning I heard them referred to as HGTV “girls.” Come on! Is this the 1950’s? Didn’t someone speak up and say “No fellas, we can’t call these beautiful, smart women “girls.” Someone must have said that and if so, why didn’t you listen? I hope you will fix that promotion immediately. And if “girls” is in the name of the show (I hope it’s not) then please change it to women. I know you get my point. I would be shocked if others haven’t written in to say the same thing. In that one promotion you just threw out 50 years of progress; and if it was on purpose then “for shame.” JudyJ, Arlington, MA
