I ordered several items from Lowe's for delivery, and on each item's page, I was assured that delivery would be free, and that the items would arrive by a certain date. When I got to check-out, they wanted to charge me $89 for delivery, with a date that was days later than originally stated. I chatted with a representative who was condescending and utterly useless. I've been a loyal Lowe's customer for decades. After this most recent purchase, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I'm sick and tired of these big companies treating customers this way.
Recommendation: Avoid Lowe's. They're dishonest, and their customer service stinks.
1. ordered railings for my new deck. Found out last minute they were discontinued needed to go to store to look at and re order
2. Hassle getting a delivery date for new deck materials. My contractor told me there del truck was in shop three weeks and they were seriously behind in deliveries
3. new rail saved 1100 dollars over one I wanted. store couldn't explain how I get a refund. Lowes credit gave me a check eventually.
4. job finished,had materials to return for refund. Took a week to come and pick up. Got 3300 in refund so the lowes pro sold me 3300 more materials then I needed.
