We bought our home new in Nov. 2022 and were told the property taxes were as shown, one year later they went up $11,000 dollars from the original land value and we were told it would only increase a little at closing. Our entire floor moves and has gaps all over, its a total mess. The paint is so thin we have probably 100 nail pops and marks all over since they did not prime and paint, appears they did a watery paint cover over drywall at most. The joist on the first floor is wrong, we experience floor movement and noise due to wrong support beam used. The new deck off slider is warped and crooked and needs to be replaced. The entire soil system is rocks/clay and nothing grows, they literally gave us like 10 inches of black dirt and the rest is rock hard clay so our year looks dead and you cannot grow a tree. Lastly the sediment in the water lines is clogging all outlets weekly, I have to literally pull ever strainer and remove mud/rocks from my faucets/shower/washing machine. This house is valued at 500,000 and it feels like a trailer worth 90,000. Never buy from DR. Horton, they are bad people and sell you garbage.

Recommendation: Never buy from Horton.
