I took my son & girlfriend out for a birthday celebration yesterday, July 31st. My son always orders the chicken & dumplings because that's his favorite dish that Cracker Barrel serves. I noticed that he was not eating his food like he usually does and asked him what the problem was? He said it was very globby and not the way it usually is and he didn't care to eat it. He's not a kid. He's a 60 yr. old man, so he knows what his food is suppose to taste like! Anyway, I paid the bill for our dinner which was $30.95 plus I put an additional $4.97 tip on it for our little waitress. When it was time to check out, i mentioned it to the fellow who checked me out and he didn't take the cost of the meal off my ticket. He just mentioned taking the survey! I really think he should not have charged me for the chicken & dumplings! I felt bad because this was our birthday celebration dinner and I know he didn't get enough to eat because of the quality of his dinner.
Desired outcome: I would like to be re-imbursed for the cost of my son's meal!
restaurant food order
I placed a delivery order with Uber and Cracker Barrel this evening, and my credit card was charged $45.92. My instructions to the delivery person were to leave my order against my front door, and to phone me immediately upon delivery. Neither happened. I tried to locate help from Uber, but their help options were disabled. I tried to get help from Cracker Barrel, but was told that they would not get involved. They refused to provide me with Uber's phone number. I checked outside of my door numerous times, but did not find my order. I asked to speak with Cracker Barrel's manager. I was put on hold, and left on hold until I finally gave up. I contacted my bank, and started a fraud complaint. My family member and I did not have a decent dinner, and I wasted a lot of my precious time trying to get something done. To top it all off, Uber put in yet another charge to my account, for a tip for the same individual who caused me so much trouble,

Desired outcome: These individuals who caused me so much trouble must be held accountable. Stop trying to get me to pay for product that I didn't receive. Clean up your act.

After driving all the way out to the county unpack order and no gravy with my order of biscuits and gravy. Well [censored] happens I know, but what got me was after driving all the way back to get gravy and let them know I was displeased I was given a we are so sorry, we apologize, etc. It a thank you,have a good day or squat.tbe young (lady) who brought the gravy out couldn't even bring herself to smile or sorry or nothing. Not a coupon or please come back and see us... Nothing which is exactly how more of money they will ever get. Absolutely no customer service anymore, sorry we messed up and you had to make 30 mile roundtrip to get the gravy for the order of biscuits and gravy. How the hell do .was that up? Our family of 3 visited the Cracker Barrel in Altoona PA for lunch on July 20, 2022. The waitress came promptly and took our drink order. We each had a separate menu and with review for our lunch selections we realized that each of the 3 menus had different prices listed for some items. We politely asked our waitress about this and she noted that we would be charged the highest price. We expressed that we didn't feel that was fair to the customer who would expect to receive the meal for the price noted. The waitress noted that she would check. After sometime she came back and said that the higher price for the items was how it was. She apologized that we had 3 different prices. We again noted that we didn't feel that was appropriate. The waitress left us again and after sometime again a manager came to discuss our concern. He adamantly noted that the higher price was their policy and would not be changed. He did thank us for pointing out the discrepancies and that the menus would be addressed that evening. We again expressed that wouldn't be fair to us but he didn't really seem to care. He asked if we were staying and we noted that we would just leave without ordering our meal. The increase in prices wasn't as big of an issue as much as the principle. Also it appeared as though the diligence to remove the old menus for their customers did not have much priority and there seemed to be an air of all involved "we are right in our policy" and they didn't even seem to care about our concern and that they had lost some customers.
Desired outcome: We would like a response to our concern and we hope that the restaurant staff will be aware that customers need to know accurate prices of their items and therefore not potentially lose customers.
Poor Service
We went to the Ocala, FL Cracker Barrel, 3801 SW College Rd Ocala, FL 34474. After waiting to be seated we waited over 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table. I asked a waitress at the adjoining table to ask for our waitress. The waitress never came. I asked the hostess, who was standing there with a computer in her hand, if she could move us to another section since we were not being helped. She said she would contact the waitress to help us. We still didn't get any help. I again asked her to move us, and she rudely told us our waitress would be there shortly. The waitress, Sonia, came out with another tables order and said she would be there as soon as she could. She stated that she was having to make a dessert and would be there shortly. I said never mind, I would go somewhere else. It had been over 20 minutes and their tone and attitude was totally unacceptable. We were from Jacksonville and had recently been to a 4 day swimming competition at the new FAST swimming facility. There was an opportunity for Cracker Barrel to make a lot of money from these types of events. It's a shame that this type of attitude and behavior is tolerated.
Desired outcome: Apology for poor customer service.

Arrived at CB @ 1:05p on 7/1400/2022. Seated in empty section with no apparent server. 15-20 minutes until approached for drink order. Placed order at 1:23p. No food @ 1:55p. Others arriving after me receiving food. Cancelled order & left.
Eating out an infrequent event. Very disappointing.

We visit Cracker Barrel in State College or Muncy at least twice a month. Never had a bad meal till today in the Muncy store. We both had roast beef that we love. The meat was cold and tough. All other items were cold. Mashed Potatoes, carrots and uncooked brocelli. The roast beef was always tender and great. Also the portions were very small. You better look into this. Roger
Lost gift card
My son and daughter-in-law sent my husband a $25 Gift Card to Cracker Barrel. That card has come up missing. I do, however, have the original receipt that they sent along with the card. Obviously since I don't have the card, I do not have the card number. All I have is the last four numbers which is printed on the receipt. The card was purchased at the Giant grocery store (store #6277) in Huntingdon, PA. It was purchased on June 17, 2022 @ 7:02pm. Last four digits is 4600, amount paid $25 AUTH#: 123398 I talked with the local Cracker Barrel manager and he told me, "So sorry for your luck. Nothing I can do." Lost gift card
My kids bought me a Cracker Barrel Gift card for Mother's Day. I can not find that card anywhere. I don't want to tell them I just wasted $25. of their money. I was told at my local Cracker Barrel, basically, "To bad...so sad!" They live in PA and I live in OH. They sent me the gift receipt, but it only has the last 4 digits on it. I found the gift receipt in the recycle bin, but I went through the trash and recycle bin three times and could not find the card. Am I really just out of luck? Conyers, GA store very disappointing
We have went to this restaurant many years. As soon as we entered we knew there was a difference. The attention of the employees were not professional, the floors were not clean or the bathrooms. Our server must of been new, he did not know the items and forgot to bring several items. We had to keep asking. The hostess to seat us was not interested in waiting on us. Only having fun with employees. I ask at the check out if there was a new manager. She said yes yawing to my face. She said his name was Al. He was not there. The parking lot was not full as it usually was. No wonder!
We were shocked to see alcohol on the menu. This restaurant has allayed been a family place to bring families. I am very disappointed and we will not be back to this place.

The following dates are the issues I have with your Host and Hostess at the Cracker Barrel located in Santee SC, the dates are (05/29 and 06/05/2022. It seems to me that we have lowered our values on greeting customers with kindness along with good service, that is exactly what has happened at this current location which in turn has made me re-evaluate where I wish to spend my money. On 05/29/22 we did eat there and the food was very good but the Host and Hostess gave my wife and I a very cold welcome, I shunned it off that time and then today we went there to have dinner around 1:30 pm and again the current Hostess and help had a very cold and un-welcoming disposition and had me make the decision not to spend my there anymore, but thanks to them I would have never driven across the bridge to the local Huddle House and spend my hard earned dollars there and now I will be a regular customer due to the fantastic food choices, great service and kind greeting. I am notifying you of this behavior because it has become the new normal in many businesses, and I will not waste my time with your food chain for a long time to come.

Online order/catering
Our organization went online and ordered a large meal from Cracker Barrel in Aiken, SC. There was an offer for delivery so we clicked on it.
We were given a total of $434 to be charged. After calling the store we were told there would be a $35 delivery charge. We decided to pay the driver. The food was delivered and was good.
After a few weeks we received our credit card statements with a charge of $644 dollars. Wow!
We called the store and spoke with the manager. She blamed it on Cracker Barrel corporate and door dash. Said that they have no control over what door dash charges.
Spoke to the General Manager who was not willing to give any explanation. Telling us we had to go through corporate even though we talked with someone local when the order was placed.
This is worst I have ever seen.
1) a local manager/gm should never push the problem up but help the customer (their customer) solve the problem. There is a disconnect between employee and corporate.
2) they are claiming a blank charge, with no receipt or proof.
3) Door dash blames cracker barrel for the charges and say they have no control.

To whom it may concern,
I was looking for a reason why I received a random email from CB for for a gift card. I automatically googled gift card scam and happened upon this site.
Does corporate read these issues, especially the way workers are treated, GM treatment of that customer over return of broken jewelry and more. Out of 300 complaints, only 19 were resolved; seriously?
I’ve dined at CB around the country and never had a bad experience.
But there’s no reason to ignore these posts.
My recommendation would be to assign this website to a particular employee of CB for complete and positive resolution.
98% of consumers will either disregard or forget how they were treated although dissatisfied with the experience or food. The other 2% want you to step in and listen to their issue.
And you’re making millions.

Manager/cook located on Maysville Rd in Fort Wayne, IN
May 9, 2022 late morning
Food was very over cooked and sat for 10-12 minutes on the counter. I could see it sitting there and I timed it. No refills on drinks what so ever. I ask to speak to the manager (tall, stocky female with dark hair)
She proceeded to argue with me about the temperature of the food because she had prepared it. She was only interested in complaining herself that she had seven calls offs that morning so she was cooking. Not sure why the restaurant was even open if the service couldn't accommodate the customers. I then could have had a better meal elsewhere. It wasn't busy, I use to visit frequently but won't be anymore. I merely suggested that if she couldn't help us maybe I should contact corporate. She became enraged and nasty like said, "Well I was going to make it right but if you'd rather do that go for it!" What a terrible attitude for a so called manager. This needs immediate attention. Customers will not tolerate such verbal abuse from a restaurant.
Desired outcome: No outcome just rudeness from your manager. All stated above. She did take the plates quickly as she ran off. I can only assume so we couldn't take photos.
