Activision review: Wrongful termination of my account ( 1 comment)

Dear Activision Support,

I am writing regarding my Activision account and Case Number 587932860. I am contacting you from the main email associated with the account: [protected]@gmail.com

In 2025 I was playing Call of Duty Warzone only on my PlayStation 5. My PS5 is a new console that has never been jailbroken, modified, or used with cheats, hacks, or exploits. I have never used any unauthorized software.

On July 23, 2025 at 00:17 I received an official email from Activision stating that an Xbox account with the username NotedWall8569 was linked to my Activision account. I do not own or use an Xbox, so this linking was not done by me.

Because I do not own an Xbox, I initially believed the email might have been spam and ignored it. Shortly after this event my account was banned. The ban also appeared on my Steam profile (secretagent6) even though I have never played Call of Duty through Steam.

This strongly suggests that my Activision account may have been accessed by an unknown user who linked their Xbox account to my Activision profile.

I attempted to resolve this issue through the official support channels. I reported my account as hacked through the Account Recovery system, but my request was automatically denied stating that no suspicious activity was detected (Case Number 587932860). I also submitted a ban appeal, which appears to have been automatically rejected without a manual investigation.

Because these systems appear to be automated, I have not been able to properly provide the evidence of the unauthorized account linking event.

I respectfully request a manual investigation into my account activity, specifically the Xbox account linking event on July 23, 2025 at 00:17 involving the username NotedWall8569.

Additionally, I would like to request access to any logs or data that show the unauthorized software or activity that your system claims resulted in this ban. If the decision was made through automated systems, I request information about the data used to make that decision.
